  • I need to know how to spawn an object based on there instance variable. Here is how I want it to be set up:

    You set the instance variable of an object (obj1). When you click on the obj1, the obj1 should search a family for a object (obj2) that has the same instance variable as it. Once it finds it, it spawns it.

    That it's how I want it to work.

    In reality, it doesn't do that, it spawns an object from the family at random. Can you help?

  • You need to supply more info. Are the effects added individually or to the family?

    To the whole family. Everything in the family has the effect

  • When I try to change whether a Family Effect is on or off, it doesn't work for the things that are in that family. Why doesn't it?

  • I need to make a variable that would be the same, even when I load a Save data.

  • I'm trying to make a level Creator. I have to make a little Custom Player Spawner, but when you click on the display, it doesn't spawn the Player Spawner and follow the mouse. Help.

  • Oh but if people can't move is because you place a tile with no image. You need to Erase the tile.

    Oh, wait. I just found out that I set the Player's layout to the UI instead of the game. NOW its working. Thanks for trying to help.

  • For my game I have the same problem. this is why I made another tilemap for no solid object.

    But then, how would people who play my game make there own levels?

  • I'm making a part of my game where you can make your own level. But there's a problem. When I put the player on the Part of the layout where there isn't any tiles, the Player couldn't move. I think it's because the put the tile-map across the whole layout, and the tile-map is solid. So, how do I make parts of a tile-map that don't have a tile there not solid?

  • Go to the View tab on the top of the Construct 2 Program, then go to the places where there are check boxes (Top-left) and find Properties Bar.

  • I'm making a Level maker in my Game, but for some reason, the prototype won't work.

  • I want to make it that when you close your game and open it back, the amount of coins you collected would be saved. I tried with Local Storage but the value of the coins would be stuck on zero. Help.
