  • Changed the capx to use timer behaviour and had it start at first touch instead of on touch end, you should play with the timer value to fit your needs.

  • If you say "It's not very good" all the time, no one's going to watch it. I liked the video, except the intro was a little bit too "radio-ish" for me. Act natural, the tutorial was good.

    I will eventually get more comfortable making these things.

    When I'm actually talking about the stuff I know it's much easier and I'm less concerned about how I come across.

    This first one was a bit confronting, so that's why I feel like it could be a lot better.

    It's real uncertainty and not meant as a way for fishing for compliments, but I can understand it bothers people.

  • Ehm Perlin, wouldn't you have to have touched the device before being able to release it?

    If you want a certain timeframe in which double-touching is possible using the timer behaviour could be a possibility, but maybe I'm not understanding your issue..

  • For people interested in how to do it in Construct2

    There are many different methods in many different games.

    Using touch angles, touch positions, etcetera.

    Finding the best way to do it in your game can be hard, for if you don't make use of the angles of the device and device motion it will allways involve touching the screen and therefor making part of it harder to see.

    My English accent doesn't make any sense and usually when I tell people I'm Dutch they make this "hmm, now I understand"-kinda face..

    So I thought I might aswell explain why they can't place the accent..

    Apologizing for being Dutch wasn't necessary, but always makes me smile..

  • If both objects have the same amount of animationframes you could just use:

    Object1 on dropped

    system compare two values :

    object1.animationframe = object2.animationframe

    • object1 set position : object2.x,object2.y

    I know it's pretty bad, but I had to upload it to make sure I will continue making tutorials of which I hope they will at least make sense.

    I now understand why it's hard to create interesting and informative tutorials, so lesson learned.

  • As far as I can see this is the issue why the other chars aren't working:

    In your pacman-collisions and pacman movement groups you only have events for rem, so if any of the other characters is playing they won't respond.

  • Ok, you could at least crop you images, it would make the game smaller by just doing that, but I think the main problem with download size isn't even the images, but the enormous amount of sounds.

    I Actually cant even get any of the characters to appear on the main layout, I guess they are not moved to the starting point.

    I'll look further.

  • I can't open it, because of the clay.io plugin.

    And why is the game almost 70Mb?
