  • I'm not sure, maybe you need to use Beta value to control Left/Right movement, and Gamma to control Up/Down?

    Thanks! I've managed to crack it with the correct combination. Added the screenshot below for anyone else needing help with this.

  • Seems like you made a mistake with < > signs. Try changing the conditions like this:

    Beta <-1

    Beta >1

    Gamma >1

    Gamme <-1

    Thanks for the reply. I changed it to your condition variations, but now the player keeps bumping to the edges of the screen at my tilts. I tried switching the up and down directional events so Beta <-1 is up and >1 is down. This kind of worked for the forward and backwards tilt when the phone was in portrait mode, but my game is best suited for landscape play - I'm wondering if this is where the problem is. I've attached the screenshot with your conditions just in case I misunderstood. Otherwise, do you know the orientation event conditons for landscape view (please and thanks)?

    I have the 8 Direction Behaviour set on my player and several "Touch Orientation" events to make use of a phone's gyroscope and move the player in any given direction (e.g. tilting the phone forward will make the player go up and back would make it go down). Does anyone know how to fix the screenshot below? Right now the the player goes all over the place at the slightest tilt. The game is set to be played in landscape mode.

    I currently have a custom movement Touch event using Touch.X and Touch.Y where my player accelarates towards the mouse/finger if it's on mobile. Is it possible to make it so the player character moves in the opposite direction of my touch? E.g. If I touch below the player then it'll move up and touching left will move it right. I've already tried -Touch.X and -Touch.Y without much luck.

    I've added my current event below if that helps.

  • Ok to rephrase, remove the Wait and destroy, create another event 'on animation explosion finished' > destroy

    Ooh, sorry for the misunderstanding. That seems to have done the trick :)

    One more question if thta's ok. Is is possible to stop the 'bullet behaviour' on the family of obstacles? E.g. On Bullets touched, set bullet speed to 0? The option is there for normal objects but not families.

    Thanks, but if I change it to 'On explosion animation finished' then there will be nothing to trigger the death animation and subsequent death. I still need the 'touch event' so my mouse/touch screen for android to trigger the explosion if that makes sense.

    I'm not sure if this is a bug or me just being inept. I've created a 'Family' of obstacles with the 'Bullet' behaviour that spawn randomly on the layout. They're supposed to play my 'explosion' animation before being destroyed. The event snippet below works most of the time upon testing, but every now and then the obstacle is destroyed without playing the 'explosion' animation. Does anyone have any idea why this might be? I've tripple checked the obstacles and the 'explosion' animation name for all of them is the same.

  • For some reason there is no webstorage plugin on my construct 2. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but it makes no difference as I cannot seem to find it on the 'insert new object' panel. Is there a way to manually install the plugin?

    (And yes I am sure that I haven't already clicked on it for the current game I am making)
