  • Make a delay, before you change to the next layout.

On any key -> wait (delay 150ms) -> go to layout X.

Because with "enter" you also pressed enter for the next condition, which is gamemode and then again, the next enter for game entry. Put a delay before you go to the next layout, if the next layout has also an "enter" condition.

For your animation problem, it might be bad, that you have so many different collision masks(height is different) and it can't choose when the player is landing, because then the collision mask updates and is smaller/greater...etc.

Maybe someone else could look into it. If someone fixes the "copy collision mask to each frame" - bug, then I had a solution. But for now, maybe try to stay with 1 collision height.

  • Would be great, if someone picks up the project and improves/extend it. It might be ok for simple things in internet. A 2 player rpg or so. Position update and simple commands should work fine.

Anyways, will you keep working at the project after that half year?

  • Did you use the search function?

Typed in "pushing objects" and found this:

  • There is an input plugin ->

But it's not easy to use for beginners imo. There are example caps and stuff. Just read an examine them carefully.

edit: I updated the link to the old forum. Now you can see the download links there.

  • Ah, now it works. I just read "r2" and construct say its up2date, so I didn't even try to download there^^. Thanks

  • Where did you all get the "newer version of construct" :P?

Because I get the message, my version is too old and on the website, there is still version 1.2. Even construct itself saying it's up2date.

  • I would recommend to backup your plugins/effects folder (if necessary) and then delete and reinstall construct. Because construct installs the runtime after the installation. If anyone has a better idea, I don't know what else could be the reason.

  • There is a readme in the .zip.

    -- Installing the Plugin

    ----------------

Copy the Network.csx files into your Construct/PLugins and Construct/Plugins/Runtime directories. If you have any issues with this asked somebody in chat.

On the first layout add the Network plugin object and make it Global. You don't need to add the plugin to any future layouts. --

That means, put the "network.csx + the runtime folder" in the "Plugins" folder.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Multiplayergame in general, yes. Direction? -->

    http://www.scirra.com/forum/plugin-network-v03a-update_topic43662.html

I'm sure you could do really good multiplayer games with it. But I don't really tried it out to know its stability and features/bugs.

edit: Ah, almost forgot, and welcome to CC^^.

  • Couldn't find any "sety" file on my computer. I choose "desktop" for the location. That's the thing I was wondering about. I started both applications, for player 1 and player 2. Selected the same directory and they didn't created the file there.

  • Ashley, I have a little question with the save to ini thing.

Here's an image from a .cap, I found on the russian construct forum:

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26932498/2p_ini.jpg" border="0" />

How does it exactly work? Couldn't find any file on the folder I've chosen at the start, but it works. I have 2 .cap files for both player. Just couldn't figure out how :P. And it saves every tick the position?
