Nickydude, try right-clicking and 'Run as administrator' on the main Construct 2 EXE file.
Still no waffles.
Installed and ran it twice, not getting any 'waffles.txt' on my desktop. This one's a bit of a bugger isn't it!
Edit: Did a complete search of all drives and no 'waffles.txt' anywhere.
How do I move an object with the mouse that has a slight lag before catching up to the mouse? Something like the tank in this game?

Ok, tried the new fix and I'm not getting the above dialog at all, just the same old "Check failure!" error. :/
definitely leaning towards the graphic card. Ashley, what graphics cards do you use?
Does seem a familar pattern with graphics cards for some reason. Has anybody not had a crash with a nVidia card?
I didn't think so either but every little helps.
I've tried uninstalling C2, clearing it out from the registry and reinstalling and still it crashes.
Those who are having the crashes what graphics card do you have? I have a nVidia 8800 GT.
Also crashes with the new fix. :(
