    The same for japanese, but I don't know how to say/write it ^^

    Open a new project.

    Insert a sprite in the layout. Select the sprite, select its width property, modify it.

    Don't validate (don't press return) press ctrl+z.

    A check failure appears:

    ---------------------------

    Construct 2 Check failure

    ---------------------------

    Check failure! This is probably a bug:

    Modifying deleted WorldInstance

    Condition: !world_instance->IsDeleted()

    File: Projects\WorldInstance.cpp

    Line: 1035

    Function: void __cdecl WorldInstanceInfo::SetX(float)

    Build: release 72 (64-bit) checked

    Component: Construct 2 IDE

    (Last Win32 error: 0)

    You are using a 'checked' release of Construct 2, intended for testing, which causes certain errors to be reported this way. Hit Ctrl+C to copy this messagebox - it's useful information for the developers, so please include it with any bug reports! Click 'Abort' to quit (unsaved data will be lost!),'Retry' to turn off messages for this session and continue, or 'Ignore' to continue normally.

    ---------------------------

    Abandonner   Recommencer   Ignorer

    ---------------------------

    Abandon crashes C2 back to windows.

    Ignoring raises another check failure :

    Check failure! This is probably a bug:

    Layout view: drawing deleted instance

    Condition: !i->instance->IsDeleted()

    Function: void __cdecl CLayoutView::DoDraw(bool)

    Build: release 72 (64-bit) checked

    Ignoring raises one more time the first check failure.

    Ignoring it comes back to C2, and the sprite has disapeared.

    Reporting for the sake of the check failures.

    I believe this behavior makes some sense though, since it's basicly removing the newly made sprite, which is indeed the way to go to undo thing at this point of the project.

  • Array article in the manual

    Does it help ?

    Also, please, use the edit option in your previous post rather than double posting.

  • Ugotsta: It reminds me a lot of buzzz and psycle.

    I think those are forks around the same project.

  • TastyBytes: one solution I would use (not saying that's the best) :

    Have the border/heart shape as a sprite on the top layer, and have the "fill" of the heart as tiled background which height you'd set according to your health value.

    You might also want to check the "effects" property of the sprite/tiledbackground object, and see if tweaking with those values help you out.

  • I've moved your topic to the C2 section.

    Your question is a bit confusing though.

    You can save capx in C2 and export HTML5 projects.

    This is explained in the manual especially in the saving and sharing projects and the export and publishing articles.

  • InnerKer: there are several section in the how do I FAQ that you can check out such as "camera/scrolling" and "platformer".

    Be also sure to check out the examples in your c2 install\examples folder, a lot of basic stuff is displayed there in a clear/efficient way.

  • Use the system expression tokenat.

  • Variables in the manual

    Extract from the how do I FAQ

    Variables (Local/Global/Instances)

        Using local variables - LINK

        More about local variables - LINK

        Using global variables - LINK

    Also in your case, the problem doesn't come from variables.

    It's rather the display of the health bar that's the issue I think.

    Several solutions exists. For now I'd go with the global property.

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • The manual page about system expressions, even better/more complete than the previous tutorial.
