  • Yes there is a default "Blend mode" property in most of the visual objects (at least the sprite) which allows you to do such blending right out of the bat, it works in canvas2D (the base rendering of HTML5, "lower level" than webGL).

Have a quick read through the several articles linked in the manual article, they should give you a good overview of what HTML5 is and what C2 can do on the visual level and don't hesitate to also have a play through the arcade to see what some other users might have come up with, some of the top ranked games should satisfy you.

  • Don't hesitate to also look into the include feature.

And just a correction, I guess you meant layout, not layers.

  • How does that effect look ?

I used a "trick" in Drop da piew to get a somewhat plasma effect (in my opinion) using several tiled backgrounds with sine behaviors and playing with the tone color and opacity of each background.

Also doesn't the "Water" webGL effect allow for a similar effect ?

  • Yes, a LOS behavior has been added to R134 and there's an example named "Line-of-sight.capx" that comes shipping with the install in the folder "examples".

  • Excellent <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Thanks a lot.

  • So as explained in the thread I already linked and that you seem to not have read : Example capx

Use the "Scroll to" behavior and position your character at the bottom of the layout.

  • The plugin you refer to is a third part plugin.

The built in Browser plugin could allow you to do so with this action I think:

    <img src="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36472942/construct/forumhelp/log_array_asJSON.PNG" border="0" />

  • Link to .capx file (required!):

    dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/36472942/construct/bugs/r134-shortcut-conflict.capx

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Open the "set variable value" action.

    2. Put your cursor on the extreme right of the sentence.

    3. Try to Ctrl+Shift+Left to select the last word.

    Observed result:

The dialog takes you one step back to selecting the action

    Expected result:

Selecting only the last word of the sentence. (regular word processing)

    Browsers affected:

    IDE issue

    Operating system & service pack:

    Win 7 pro 64 bits SP1

    Construct 2 version:

    R134

  • It sounds like instead of triggering your clapping sound once it goes and is played every tick.

Add a condition "System: Trigger once while true" to the event that plays this sound and all should be better.

  • You might want to send an email to educationxdo@scirra.com it's more likely you'll get an answer.

When you get one, please be kind enough to come back here and eventually give the result of your request for others who would be in the same case.

  • Try to click the "Reset dialog" button in the "Preferences dialog".

Also (to be confirmed), I think C2 requires at least SP3 to work as intended under windows XP.

Edit: Actually this sounds like this same issue.

Perhaps the changes made to remember the folders for each dialog isn't compatible with winXP.
