Just to say site is unusably slow at the mo.
Works perfectly fine for me.
Tested in Firefox, Node-webkit and IE11.
Using r178 64bit
Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.
That's exactly the steps I tried and tried again. Definitely no crash for me.
Maybe someone else can try (guys!).
Following your instructions, I don't get the crash you describe. I also tried by selecting other image tools before attempting import but still didn't crash.
Are the steps you describe complete?
Using same 64bit OS and C2 version.
It could be many things It's still possible that C2 could be the issue, i.e. a faulty installation.
Have you installed any updates recently to either your OS or your GFX card?
Followed your instructions and it doesn't crash for me.
Tried with your attached .capx and that didn't crash either.
I'm using 64 bit version of r178 and Windows 7.
What message(s) do you get when you try to open?
Have you tried reinstalling r173?
Have you got a backup?
Unfortunately I can't try it as it includes numerous non-standard plugins.

I don't see how this is a bug, going by the manual. You are referencing a url instead of a project file and the manual specifically states:
[quote:29avwyvm]You must encode your video files yourself, and then import them as project files.
https://www.scirra.com/manual/181/video
Unless this has changed, then the manual says it must be imported before it can be played.

Would using the Sine behavior be of use? See attached.
I always create a separate Event sheet for Globals, so this isn't a problem form.
