Thank you! It's fun to make games, and good that you're asking for help! I cannot help you specifically (I have a lot of things to do sorry), but let me give you some places where you can learn the basics:
- Construct 3 beginner's guide: construct.net/en/tutorials/beginners-guide-to-construct-3-1
- how to make a platformer: construct.net/en/tutorials/platformer-game-2329
I'm trying to think back to when I first started making games in Construct 2 when I was 14 and what I did. It's important to learn how Construct works, and you can always do that by trying to make something new! Practise practise practise and googling. Have fun!
I've disabled it, so no.
Thanks! Yeah that's a common issue with keyboard hardware, actually. Most keyboards (that aren't specifally designed for gaming) cannot handle that many key presses simultanously! I recommend using game controllers if you can.
A map editor is planned for the Construct 3 version! Cannot say when that will be done.
Wow that's a big find! I don't know how that bug survived for years. I'm not sure I can fix it in the old files, but it definitely won't be there in the Construct 3 version.
I'm glad you like it! Tag was maybe the tenth game I made. My first ones were all trash. You have to make bad games first to make good games!
You can press WASD or the arrow keys to join in as a player, and then control the menu using those keys! It's a bit unclear, sorry
There is a long answer to this (too long for a reply), but the short answer is that when a key is pressed (A/D/up arrow/K/T/...) I call a function that tells the corresponding player to simulate a control on the platformer behaviour. Player 1 always has WASD, player 2 always had the arrow keys, etc. Hope that helps!
Lmao no just busy with other things (that pay my bills). Sometimes I do a bit of work on Tag, so it's not abandoned yet.
I can't make any promises that they will get fixed soon but I'd be happy to hear them!
Thank you! I want to add more stuff to the game, but other projects take up all my time sadly.
Thanks, that's a great score!
I've been looking into that! It's tough to make networking reliable enough so everybody sees that a player is being tagged on their screen. We'll see...
I don't understand what you mean with 'my avatar'
I wish I could say D:
