  • I understand that this isn't Scirras fault, but I'm basically not releasing my game Brute until the issue is fixed as I don't want players / Youtubers to be unable to easily capture footage of it. Effectively missing my desired release window of late 2016.

    ugh.

  • I can't capture footage of my game using Fraps, OBS or Nvidia Shadowplay at full screen. Using Chrome or NW.

  • newt - yes that's part of it for sure and that is a fantastic link thank you. Fundamentally an understanding of how to reproduce the functionality of the sine behavior in code - any tutorials like that would make for a great starting point.

To extend onto it too, how do they achieve things in that video such as being able to have independent points follow a parent object while also wobbling and rotating

  • Are there any good existing tutorials about how to understand and work with these maths functions within C2? I don't really understand them conceptually and practically often relying on that 'liteTween' behavior. I find this video to be extremely inspiring:

I would absolutely love to be able to animate with code and am looking for references in the manuals and tutorials sections but if anyone already has examples / references they can point me to that would be very much appreciated!

    Best,

    Mick

  • which program you use to create the melodies or music you put on the games?

Pretty big topic, can you write music? Maybe look at Reason - that contains most the sounds, instruments and recording features someone starting out would need.

  • Don't understand the question, you mean making music?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • This is an issue with Chromium right not NW or Construct as I understand it.

I think it's a real shame, almost makes me want to hold off releasing my game so that people can easily capture footage of it using the most popular methods.

OBS does work btw, which is cool.

The sound fxs are really good. Did you do it or payed someone? It's quality is at professional level, gratz!

Thanks. Did them myself - my day job is sound design on games.

  • Are you using physics with platformer and solid behaviors?

Ah yeah I'm using physics and solid together to have bullets reflect off walls and also obstruct physics objects

  • Getting this error anyone have an idea of the sort of thing that usually causes this?

  • It's completely unnecessary to try to detect when a variable has changed with 'Trigger once'. You changed the variable, you know when it happened. If the value gets changed in multiple places, then put the code in a function and call the function when the value changes. Or, you may not even need the variable anymore, just call the code.

Ah man I'm just not getting this I'll upload a capx of what I'm doing if interested. Thanks for all the help by the way!
