  • Have you tried using C2 in another computer and checking if this still happens?

    You've probably got a virus..

  • Your game is SO CUTE. I really like the graphics.

I've been having a similar issue with my game, there's a weird jittering going on whenever the player is going left/right. I tried to track it down but I didn't think of turning pixel rounding on/off... I'll have to try it tonight.

  • I'm kinda confused but yes, if you have a master sheet for every layout and you have "On Start of Layout", this will run everytime you start layout, even if you change layouts, and even if it says "trigger once".

By having "Trigger Once" on it you're basically telling the program "hey, do this thing ONCE everytime I open a new layout".

If you want it to run once at the beggining of the game and that's it, maybe you can use "On Loading Finished".

  • Try Construct 3

  • I see, this is interesting! It really depends on what kind of files are you talking about, I think.

For instance, you CAN download a .json or other text-file-like formats to your game, then write/overwrite a file that already exists, but if you're talking about graphics/sounds/code, since it's all in the package.nw file, you'd have to re-download your entire game basically.

The best way to achieve an updatable game with Node-Webkit would be having a separate application that would be able to open the package.nw file, change it's contents, then re-zip it, I think.

  • keepee heh, I usually do that using var * -1, then check if it's -1 or 1. Your way looks prettier though <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Have you tried searching for "doors"?

    scirra.com/search.aspx

  • I've got Windows 8 x64 and it's working just fine.

  • You can check whatever is in an array by using the debugger.

  • IMO the best way to do this would be having an invisible layer with the settings, and whenever the player clicked "settings" it would pause the game and show up.

But if you really want to use layouts, you could save the player's position using variables, then load these variables at the start of the layout.

  • Would it be possible to load a different object in runtime with this? Or do I have to create a "Object 3D" for each different object?

  • tumira

    yes, windows-only apparently..

I haven't tried using the hash plugin yet, I'm not sure it's even possible.

  • Joannesalfa I'm not sure, but when I tested it it run pretty well (same as Node-Webkit). But it did increase the file (my game is around 65mb right now, with Enigma it became 104mb).

I didn't change any options for this to work.
