  • you could also achieve the same result with groups

put the event(s) that lets the character pick up a block in a group, then when the player is holding a block, you disable that group (meaning the events can't be executed at all) and activate the group when the player isn't holding a block.

  • It works for me too most of the time. Though sometimes it doesn't connect properly. It happened with one of the goggled birds too, so it's maybe not contained to only the blobs. Maybe try adding "PLAYBOX is falling" to the collision event?

I noticed something else too. If you press down repeatedly when entering the door the character might get stuck when the level starts.

Also, I'm guessing the Mario sounds are only placeholders? :P

  • It's not exploitative in itself, but these sites do enable some really bad business practices. I've seen numerous jobs which have either entirely unreasonable pay (one of the worst was a guy wanting a fully illustrated 20+ or 30+ page comic for less than 200USD) or want you to do "sample work" for your bid, which essentially is unpaid work.

These sites are useful, but they are swamps as well.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I recall getting the packs from that very page, might be remembering wrong though. In any case, it seems the packs currently are hard, if not impossible (?), to find without a direct link to the pack.

  • $300 is not that bad to be honest, and 50 bucks extra for some more space and a year premium, whatever that means... hopefully it's something more akin to PSN than Xbox Live.

However, if they just use the same numbers for the EU and price it at 300?, I'd be less on board.

I'm pretty much guaranteed to buy one eventually though, since Bayonetta 2 was recently confirmed for it. :3

  • I took a look at it and made a very simple fix for this.

I simply took your event were the goomba hit a wall and used that for when goombas collide with each other, using collision at offset to determine which goomba should start moving in which direction.

It's probably not completely foolproof though.

  • Awesomium is technically still a browser so WebStorage should work just fine.

Edit: For future reference, it's generally good form to wait at least 24 hours before bumping a thread.

  • Those are some weird meatballs then. :P

  • That is awesome Animmaniac. Looking forward to trying it out once you release it. :)

A way to get data for which button is/was pressed would be good for both the gamepad and keyboard objects. There seem to be expressions for the gamepad object to get some input data. But that seems to be returning a value from 0 to 100. I'm guessing this is simply checking if the button is pressed (since you have to specify the button in question it seems), and by how much if analog. Interesting, but not what I was looking for.

EDIT: All of that was available in the manual. XD

  • Good news!
