  • This thread is making me nostalgia hard.

  • I don't hate Sundays, I just wish I could bring my laptop into my office job so I can keep on working on my game while getting paid to wait fro important sale #XYZ to come across my desk. I do dream of game creation and some other contractual type business being my source of income though.

  • I'd love a system with immensely fun and interesting games that don't depend on Modern Warfare 3-type budgets can thrive.

A new console with slightly better than XBox360 level graphics, a cheap price (for consumers, developers, and manufacturers), a moderate-to-stringent level of acceptable game quality, a liberal level of content variety, and a manufactured community where "fun-factor" is placed over "wow-factor."

I want a Nintendo PSX360+ running Steam with better indie support.

  • I always use inverted not equal to. It's more visually consistent with other conditions that can't be compared with "not equal to."

I play Company of Hereos, by far my favorite modern game. I bought Starcraft 2 as a replacement, but CoH just kills it in terms of complexity and strategy. I still play Twisted Metal:Black for the PS2 as well. Great difficulty and excellent game design.

  • Lucid, that's awesome! I look forward to being able to use this in the future. Character proportion is my biggest issue with art design!

I'm curious, can the model be rotated on the z axis? Even on the 2D plain, it's nice to be able to make a crouching person's knee look like it's bending towards the player. The lack of this is one of the limiting features I've found with other (and more basic) stick-modeling freeware.

  • This is great news. Do you think this exporter will be compatible with my DSLR? I think I'm going t try to export to .cap as well so I can run caps in my caps.

  • Also, would anyone find a EventSheet "Event Code Text Import/Export" feature helpful? I find myself writing Construct code in text files when I'm away from my home PC quite often (such as on my cell while on the bus or at work ). It's be great to export my Eventsheet as text, go somewhere, add in a few things, go home and upload the text file and have it populate into events if formatted correctly.

Of course I have little programing knowledge so it's be an undertaking for me, so I'm just curious if I'm the only one who would find it useful.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Can I make two suggestions? Please?

Formula Input information: Just like Excel. When I start typing something like "clamp(" it'd be nice to see a little drop down that displays what I need to enter, such as "clamp(value, lowerbound, upperbound)" with the current entry point bolded. I think this would especially help people new to Construct so they wouldn't have to go digging through forum posts or the wiki.

New Blank Subevent: This one makes me a little crazy. I want to move some pre-existing conditions to a subevent position, which happens ALOT. Right now, I have to (1) right-click on a event (2) select New subevent (3) select an object after the object selector loads (4) select any condition, usually a click-and-go one like always (5) delete the new condition (6) move the pre-existing conditions to the newly blank subevent... Argh. It'd improve work flow if I could simple (1) right-click on a event (2) select New Blank subevent (3) move the pre-existing conditions to the blank subevent.

  • Thanks for all yoru hard work Deadeye. These tutorials are what really got me up and going in Construct.

  • On another note, will testers be able to sell games made with the most current release? If so, you're going to have a lot of testers and very few sold licenses; your releases are usually too solid to accrue any sort risk that would outweigh saving some cash.

  • Good release, still awaiting Animations, etc.
