  • I use Win 7 64bit.

  • Try to create the particles as small as possible and let them grow over time, so it's not so obvious that they appear at 100% opacity...

Or you could try to move them upwards/sideways and make the part where they are created covered by an other object.

Thats how i worked around the problem in a 3D game. I spwaned the particles below the ground and let them move upwards slowly.

  • I have never once forgot to name my application. Hold over from other languages I guess.

BUT If I had a dime for every time I saw, "A preview is already running. Please close this before previewing again." I could fly every one to Disney for a week end and have Construct conference in the Contemporary!

Why do I keep forgetting to close my test game? Why? Why? Why? LOL

    Hahah, this sounds familiar

It would be cool to have an other button next to the one which tells you "A preview is already running. Please close this before previewing again." which automatically kills the running application.

  • AFAIK Tile Sets are not supported.

But I think there is an option to extract single frames from a tile set.

  • Yeah, PJ Shooter is really great. They are making Shooter 2 atm. There is still a lot of unused potential in this game.

  • "Save Iteration" sounds identical to "Save As", no...?

It actually is almost the same. It's just a pure workflow enchancement not really a necessary feature.

It's just much faster to press cntr-S or whatever, to make an iterative save, which automatically gives the save file a consecutive number instead of doing Save As and typing a number or a name manually, every time you need to save a new state or change.

  • What your wanting looks more like a trail, rather than just plain particles.

What he is asking for is tangential allignment of the sprite to the flight path. Trails would be kind of useful too but are different and would probably be overkill for an emitter.

    tulamide

You can do it in C4D even with the basic emitter. Don't need to use thinking particles for this.

  • Since you can't open Minor's file I allowed myself to edit it a little(rename the sprites) and make a screenshot. I hope it helps you.

  • I have an other problem with this feature. It isn't exporting any images to the "Images" Directory. And it is not crashing here.

    I use 0.99.82 too.

  • With all my high end graphics program I have never seen the ability to rotate a partical like you suggest. Partials are meant to be just that. Partials. but...

Sorry, I must disagree here. I worked as a Visual Effects Artist and 90% of my time with particles and it is quite common to have the behavior descriped by Somebody. For example if you want to have sparks flying away in every direction.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I would also add the ability to stretch the particles along the trajectory vector based on the speed and or on a constant value.

  • maybe someone created a Wiki page or something similar?
