  • I wanna have it so when enemy is hit by lasers they absorb it and if killed with lasers when they explode they release a bullet pattern but if killed by missiles then no bullet pattern. For the other enemy if they are killed with missiles then no bullet pattern. No absorb needed for this enemy. Thanks everyone

  • Hi everyone, I have a question. I made a little game demo with game salad but I wanna do this project with construct 2 because it seems more user friendly so I wanted to know is there a way to move or make these same events in construct 2? I need have an event where the boss sprite that's on the right of the screen go through it's frame of opening its mouth and shooting a fireball and close mouth and repeat but with a random shooting pattern and then I need to have it so when player taps on fire ball it explodes and boss takes damage but only if player taps on fireball when it collides with a vertical line but if player taps too early on fireball or too late and it collides with player that's behind the line they take damage and of course I'll need life bar events for both and a score for player. Oh and music playing. I got a lot of this done in game salad but I really don't like working with that program to much lol so That's what I wanna get down for now so if anyone can help out with this that would be great, thanks a lot.

  • Ok so I went to go try this and I didn't see any section at all in the events that lets me even select any music at all. Do you happen to know what event section it's in because I went to audio but all it gives you is a choice to stop sounds but not music

  • Ok I'm pretty sure I know what you are trying to do but I gotta get in front of my computer to look at the event I have and see how it's done because I know I shot my enemies and the fade away or die very nicely so when I check that out I'll get back to you if nobody hasn't helped yet

  • This ***** because I would have a good link for you to make this but it's only if you know how to use SDK and code it into the game. I haven't seen any construct 2 stuff yet on how to do this

  • I would post a good pic and or video link that could help you out a little bit but my rep isn't high enough to do that yet lol also do you have the actual special move effect and or images already made up and in the proper folders? Because you need the animations of whatever the player will do or shot out when the special move is triggered. For example if the player is gonna do some kinda crazy swinging sword attack you'll need the sprite sheet of your character in all the frames of motion he's gonna be doing. If it's gonna be like a thunder ball attack you'll need a sprite sheet of the thunder attack. Most things like that have like 9 frames of the thunder ball attack and When you upload these you have to do it as a new animation not just a sprite or you'll just get one image instead of like 9 or however many frames your attack has

  • So are you trying to have it so when you do a normal attack a few seconds later a special attack comes out?

  • Oh so you are trying to make this same thing but instead of keyboard you wanna do on touch?

  • Yeah what lolpaca said should work because I'm pretty sure I'm using that same method or something close to it in my top down space shooter game. Long as you have some explosion animation images like a 7 frame exploding effect it should work but if you don't then of course it won't work because you have no animation images for the event you just made to work correctly.

  • Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knows how to make player or sprite image transform into a different sprite image? Good example is I wanna have it so if you click on or tap on an icon image the player ship or whatever it may be will show some cool tranformation effect and then after the animation is done its a different sprite image. Thanks for the help
