    Ash, you rock.

  • Cheers!

So scroll down to the bottom of the actions... I've set up a simpler example that isn't hidden in all of those events. When the minimap up in the top right is clicked, it should be destroyed. But it is not. Any ideas?

  • Hey ash. I'm not getting much responsiveness from the Mouse object in my game, but it works in simpler tests... Does the "Object is clicked" condition ignore all other sprites on top of the object being tested?

Edit: Mouse.X and Mouse.Y don't appear to be outputting anything...

And is text wrapping yet? Because it doesn't seem to be for me.

  • Could I just say that I am missing the Debug function a helluva lot? I use it a massive amount when I'm prototyping to see what's happening under the hood. Something like that would be great.

Also, for Array, a For Each Element expression would be great, and a Get Current Value.

EDIT: Oh and layout zooming please!

  • Could I request an Array object? Or some kind of start on more complex data structures. S for C2?

  • Hey Ash. If you load that platformer example in Chrome, while you don't have that tab open, the player sprite ends up in the middle of the platform.

  • A plugin for this, especially one that could create and read encrypted files, would be great.

  • Had an idea the other day for a 'polygon' object - although maybe its already in Construct 1 and I never figured out how to use it? But yeah. A texture stretched between 4 given coordinates.

  • Thanks Ash. Quick question - is picking working? Cause it's not for me, specifically for destroying one of many objects.

  • Try Construct 3

  • cow_trix: Windows decides the position of the window. That seems odd. What version and service pack of Windows are you on? You could try deleting the Construct 2 registry key (HKCU\Software\Scirra\Construct 2 IIRC) which will reset the size and position of all dialogs, and try again.

Yes! That works. I was on Windows 7 64bit. This is a problem that will probably never occur again, but do you think it would be necessary to set the window position to say the middle of the parent window as a safeguard?
