Animget was originally intended to make ripping sprites from emulators easier, but it works with just about any program (some better than others).

It checks every 10 milliseconds to see if the screen has changed, and if it has it takes a snapshot. It's free and a very small download, so maybe someone will find a use for it.

(hopefully not just for mario/megaman/zelda clones... )

I like how HQ2x looks but since it blends the edges of pixels with the background it is really only useful as a realtime filter.

Or you could just place all of your sprites on a black background... but that leaves them with a thick outline (which doesn't always look bad, depending on what style you're going for).

I started working on a "bolt cannon" for SoldJahBoy's tank game and I followed your example for the "instant hit laser". I can get it to make the beam just fine but for some reason it doesn't terminate at the surface of the ground like it does on your blocks. I keep comparing my .cap to yours and I can't see any differences.

...am I missing something really obvious?
