  • Hi Dima111, you can check if it has an event on startup to make it invisible, or on the start of layout add an action "Set Visible: Visible"

Edit: Also, it may be worth putting your questions in a seperate thread of their own for your game, most people will not likely come to "Construct Limits" looking to help out <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Jax, Ah, I think you might be able to show plain text to search bots and the HTML5 page to people now that I think about it.

I did a quick look and one way of doing it is to put the plain text into a div with set height/width/and overflow:hidden in the style so it doesn't show up for the human user. Maybe that can help?

    Edit: and sure, we'd love to see your site <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • R0J0hound oh sweet I didn't realize, thanks R0J0! <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Jax, Hopefully this can be improved soon but the "staff" of Construct 2 is just two guys, and I'm not sure if both of them work on the programming side. They just released a new version of Construct 2 beta today so it's probably been a busy day for them, and if you're in their timezone it's pretty early in the morning <img src="smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Give them time, they want to make the best product they can, but they have to finish the game dev side first.

Edit: Also, Construct 2 currently exports its HTML5 apps/games as an iframe entirely I believe, so you might be best to put the animated parts into separate iframes and have the text as raw html parts.

  • , would a mix of that and collision conditions "Object overlaps Ground & Object NOT overlaps Mask" work? Maybe something where you give the mask object a collision polygon such that the player only collides with it when they are near its center/one edge (and angle the mask so that it's always at the angle of the bullet that collided?).

Kind of hard to explain so I will create a small example file

Edit: Here's an example of basic destructible terrain, you can use image masking as Squiddster said to show the true background I think (maybe using the canvas object?): Sprite terrain erase/destructible terrain example

Double edit: R0J0's canvas plugin is a better way to do it, but until plugins are available on the arcade you can use this method above.

  • I have to agree with the general opinion: It's not false advertising if it's possible to publish your game on those platforms.

If it said "Export to" then I'd say false advertising but, (as shown here: http://www.scirra.com/forum/topic60466.html) there are Construct 2 games on the Android market already.

Edit: Also, they're paying for the latest "Beta", the license for all paid features, to sell their games, and all upcoming updates. No wishful thinking there

  • Hmm, that's strange, I see it here way down the pages near "Nancy Drew" and "Mahjong"

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Urled, very cool <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> That'd be good as a sandbox game I think, maybe you need to roll the flammable objects together to make a path for the flame to go?

  • EyeHawk, looks amazing! I'm installing right now <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Had some fun publishing it to other sites <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle">

Published to Chrome Web Store (crunched down to 10MB, plays offline): Dust And Destruction Chrome Edition

Published to Clay.io (possible future integration with leaderboards of rank and achievements): Play Dust And Destruction on Clay.io

Wow Clay.io is nice! Now it's a Facebook app: Play Dust And Destruction on Facebook

Shame I can't put it on the Scirra arcade due to it using a custom behavior <img src="smileys/smiley6.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • Looks cool 7Soul <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> Although, I was surprised by how abrupt the results are

  • Awesome, thanks SciDave! <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
