This is a limitation of Direct-X; some people seem to still be looking for ways around it, but there doesn't seem to be one.
There's actions to check and uncheck check boxes.
I'm not sure about the second thing; it may be there's a windows notification somewhere for it, I'll check when my internet works properly.

I was planning to have code in the last build to turn everyones IDE pink on April 1st, and to prompt them to upgrade to 'Femstruct', but it slipped me. Damnnn.

This sounds like a good starter project for someone new to the SDK; just basically wrap std::vector (simple and well documented in many places).
It logs changes and can play them back; adding a playback in reverse would be trivial (once the main issues are sorted).
