  • On further reflection, there's no real need for images in signatures. To show off art, trailers/upcoming games, maybe, but this can be done adequately via text without using up bandwidth - which I've been charged for this month after going over the small limit we have..

Sorry, but you'll have to make do with links and text

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • This will hopefully be in the next build.

  • On the first query: yes, certainly possible, and a good idea for large event sheets. Can hopefully be done soon.

Second query: yes again, currently it automatically docks to the left every time, but I'm sure very soon we can have a preference to hide it by default or dock it elsewhere. A button in the main tab to show/hide it, too.

  • I probably won't, but am willing to give it a very decent shot.

  • Excellent

Let the Australian translation begin, I'll get David to chip in.

  • /postcount + 1

  • To conclude, you can't compare the two.

ActionScript is certainly less powerful than Construct in simple terms, but the objectives the two serve are very different; if you want to make a short animation or simple online game, use Flash or Shockwave. If you want to make a desktop game which requires complex graphics, effects, or anything like that, you'll have to use something else.

  • Minimize and maximum is an easy request; menus will be finished by 1.0.

  • Menus are makeable via the Resource Bar, but currently don't show at runtime.

They'll be fully implemented by 1.0.

  • No, it's definitely not.

It's meant for online games and web applications such as streaming music and video, and very little else. Not a substitute for a desktop game/application creator, but viable if you want to make certain online games.

  • I just checked this out, and the ObjectCount expression seems broken. So that'll be fixed for the next build.

Possibly the easiest way to do this would be to have something in the status bar when a selection is made, eg: "110 objects selected".

Then you could hit CTRL-A if you wanted to check, and see how many there are in total.
