  • Well i would have thought this would have been a pretty big/simple feature to have, and i think in future a lot of people will ask for it. I don't think it is too much to ask to be able to resize and not stretch.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Why does resizing the canvas not actually resize it only "stretches it" as rich said. That makes resizing semi-pointless since well it doesn't resize it only stretches.

I need a way to actually resize an object at runtime.

Also to rich please don't close comments on bug reports right away i could have posted all this there.

  • There's a half made one in our plugins base, but it uses the old SDK.

If any developer wants it (it's about half the work done for them) I can send it.

Maybe it is worth posting about in the plugin forum?

  • The highest i have on any forum is namepros.com where i am nearly 2k heh.

  • Man you guys sure make me chuckle, well done everyone for reaching 20,000 here, if only my forum was as active heh!

  • They have no right to unless code was stolen which i doubt it was. Like someone said Linux has 360 controller drivers, it's all about fair use guys. Besides if things like this cause more people to buy the remotes, nintendo wins.

  • Globals don't work? Or are they just per layout then? hmm

What about creating a new event sheet with variables that'll store the info you're trying to pass and including that sheet in both layouts' events. Then just update in one layout and read the info in the other. I'm pretty sure there's a better way... not even sure if that would work but logically... it should Might be a pain if you have craploads of variables you need passing from one to the other..

That could work quite well i reckon.

Global variables are useful but what if i want to share more than just a few variables, would be easier to share an event sheet, didn't think of that

  • I'm not sure how you would pass information used in one to the other though hmm?

  • I don't have hotspots in the centre and it works fine.

  • Attach to object works pefectly cheers dude!

  • Basically i have a box always keep it's position and size relative to the canvas.

It works fine until i adjust the size as seen by the second shot:

    Start:

    When made bigger:
