  • If Google Chrome gets an equivelant of Firefox's adblock, I'd probably switch. But that's most likely never going to happen. Adfree internet and the ability to block images I don't want to look at it is something I couldn't give up.

  • > Clicking on lets say the Item Screen, makes the Item Screen layer appear so yeah. It should also pause the game somehow when press the key that makes the menu screen appear.

There are different approaches to pause a game. Try setting the timescale to 0.

Just have to remember that you won't want to do that if you have sounds in your game, so you'll have to come up with your own pause system.

  • My gosh that is adorable!

  • cheers, thats perfect.

  • What I'm wanting to do is have this red ball always "stick" to the blue ball when it hits it, as in no matter what angle the blue ball rotates it will rotate around with it and staying the same place when it moves.

I figured it probablys involves trigonometry, but I'm not the best at math.

    any help would be great!

  • I use sprite font for these types of HUD bars:

    <img src="http://i35.tinypic.com/6xzvko.jpg">

I just go always: showtext: left( "aaaaaaaaa", hpvalue)

where "a" represents a sprite for one HP slot thing, then it only shows X amount of the "a"s from the left.

  • Don't forget about the line object, the gradient object, the tiled bg object, the box object.......

don't forget the sprite font too!

  • I didn't notice your post before Arima, but that looks like an easy/simple way to get it to work. Cheers!

  • Only consoles like NES/SNES etc. would be capable of doing something like this.

  • Is it possible to get a feature like this? Not just a 'go to layout' thing, but rather the game/application starts up fresh as if it were just being opened?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • you don't need the '\' straight after the appPath (the one before 'sounds'), as the appPath already places one.

  • This sounds like a good idea to me, I wouldn't mind construct being more stable/fixed quicker!
