  • I second the color settings request. I would love to be able to set all of the colors of the IDE. The high-contrast with the bright white background is a bit much after lots of use, being able to set it to something less high-contrast would be very nice.

  • Just because it's great doesn't mean it can't get even better!

  • Davioware helped me out in chat. Anyone who'd like to test the results with whatever browser they have (especially interested in mobile and older browsers), it's at http://www.loot-pursuit.com/redirect/

It should go to loot-pursuit.com/html with a C2 project that says "HTML" if there is no html5 support, loot-pursuit.com/html5 with a C2 project that says "HTML5" if there is.

I'm also interested to know if at any point the browser prompts you to run or enable scripts, or if you see the Loot Pursuit logo anywhere, which should show as a backup if the page halts for any reason.

    Thanks again, Davioware!

  • Ergh... I don't know anything about web development. I was hoping for something simple.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I want to make a normal and HTML five version of my website. I would like the person's browser to automatically detect which one it should use based upon what the browser supports and redirect to the correct version. Does anyone know how to do this?

  • Pretty suspicious stuff going on here. Reboot is pretty much the worst game ever made.

That's really unnecessary. We try to keep the forum a friendly place - even if you dislike the game, please refrain from using insults.

  • I think it was in 63, as I made the post after it happened the third time, and 63 was the latest version at that point. It hasn't happened since, perhaps it's been fixed.

  • P.S.:

Regarding touch interaction on iOS, would it be possible in the future to have an option which would automatically check onclick and ontouch conditions for an object, instead of having to select both separately? This is a small detail, but would still be a great time-saver when developing a touch- and click-enabled game where mouse click and touch on an object have the same effect.

    Use the touchmouse plugin.

  • Yeah, seriously. :D

Where are you Lucid?? There are ponies in here!

  • That's why you make a new version every day. Sometimes more than one per day. I've got hundreds of old versions, and I've needed to use them a few times. Using this method, if the .cap gets messed up, it's only a day's lost work. Hard drive space is plentiful and cheap - use it.

Making an RPG in CC myself though, I really, really recommend you use C2. Faster compile times, easier code reusability, more platforms to export to, less bugs and quirks to work around, better workflow, and by the time you manage to finish it, there's a good chance a native EXE exporter will have been out for a while since RPGs take so long to make. If scirra doesn't make a native EXE exporter, someone else will.

  • I think the easiest way to implement this is a special kind of "OR block" that runs if any of the conditions in the block are true.

    What about calling it ANY?

  • I think I might know what's going on - I think C2 is mixing up what type of variables they are somewhere. It complains based upon the type of variable I'm setting. If it's a string I'm trying to set, regardless if the variable is a number or string it complains about me trying to enter a number to a string variable, and the other way around when setting number variables.
