    Currently, we're really happy with the stability and usability of Construct 3. Compared to our first releases of Construct 2 we're lightyears ahead in that regard.

    • Construct 3 won't be available on Steam
    • Yes, all export options will be available to anyone who has a plan - all included in one price. Absolutely no plans to charge more for exporters now or in the future.
    • Standalone version of C3 is planned - stay tuned.
    • Not planned directly in product - but you can write your own plugins and behaviours with Javascript

    LTC no, but possibly BTC via Stripe.

  • I think these questions are best answered when some examples of why it would be discontinued are offered.

    In what scenarios do you see this happening? And also, what specific reassurances are you looking for?

  • How much is the C2 discount? Is it just 1 year?

    Yes it applies to your first years payment.

  • No, I've taken a decision to do not switch C3 in following reasons:

    -Internet required to open Google Drive and other cloud files.

    Yes, if you want to use an online file storage you need to be online. Alternatively, you can use local file save/load.

    Scirra promised to update C2 as new version but it will not happen.

    We've been releasing Construct 2 updates. Last one was only a few days ago.

    Paypals API's are let's say challenging to work with and in my experience not documented particularly well. Stripe on the other hand is written beautifully and easy to work with.

    The payment system is pretty sophisticated. I took the decision to go with the easiest to work with payment API first as it would be easier to design and test.

  • Just to clarify, we're in a beta stage but licenses are on sale.

    We hope to be out of beta by end of summer (the "full" launch).

    Understand RE Paypal. From our point of view we felt it was better to release with one option rather than delay everything so we could offer more payment options - I hope this is understood.

    It is a very high priority for me to get Paypal support. I'll do everything I can to get it out as soon as possible but it is a very involved thing to integrate.

  • Tom did email proposed winners list to me a few days ago but was off ill so couldn't reply which caused a small delay! Have replied to him today, so expect results to be announced shortly.
