Hello, I'm new to Construct 2. I used Gamesalad before jumping over and I had this speed boost thing working great and it was easy to do but I'm having problems with it in Construct 2.

they way I want it to work is when the player collides with the speedboost sprite to keep its speed while at the same time changing direction if the player touches the screen.

I have put out a couple of speed boosts that the player needs to collide with in order to keep the speed going. The thing is the sprite keeps on going up which is intentional. However every time the collusion happens I lose control of when I can dive down until the time is up and I can dive normally again. I want to be able to have full control of diving while retaining the speed gained from the speed boost.

this new file does not have the plugin so it should work now
