  • ok, update: The advice with the detector was the best solution. It's more precise now!

  • Jipii! To be honest, I don't really understand the difference between sitting on top and colliding with, but it works! No I try to add some animation to the box before it disappears.

Vielen Dank also for the other options, which I'll keep in mind!

  • Haha funny

I expected the graphics to be worse. I looks pretty cool, I think. The sound and music is good, too.

My main problem in the beginning was that I didn't get who I was. Maybe the zombies' and the player's appearance could differ a bit more. Also I think it gets boring quite soon, because there's not much happening. Why don't increase difficulty in more ways than just a higher number of zombies? Let the trucks drive on the other side of the road, as well. And it would fit your topic if the zombies spewed blood or something. Maybe you could give the player a second chance, so when a zombie bites you, you loose some blood, but you can go on. (maybe you become slower).

Btw, what program did you use for the graphics?

    Kind regards,

    Maschka

P.s.: My highscore is 63 seconds, which I'm very proud of They were so many...

  • Hi everyone, me again. I watched some tutorials on how to destroy boxes like with SuperMario. However, I don't want to jump and simply collide with them, but I want to hit them while standing on them. My player is animated, so it looks as if he hits something below when you press arrow down.

I already created one of these dummys. The box serves as container for the invisible Hitbox (same size as normal box). My idea was the following:

System on start of layout: Hitbox set position to Box

Conditions: Player on collision with Hitbox AND another condition: Keyboard: Down arrow is down. Action: Box destroy

    It is just not working...

Thank you so much for answers!

  • Yes, I guess the problem might be the complexity of the exported game including images, as well. Thank you for the advice, I will try bitballoon! Maybe I'll contact you when I have problems with that, but I hope this won't be necessary .

  • Hi everyone! Again a bloody beginner's question. I read the manual and many tutorials and searched the forum, but I still need help. I don't know much about HTML and the like, therefore I have a jimdo-website (Is that famous outside Germany? It's actually similar to C2, because you don't need to know anything about programming, you use kits). I exported the game to HTML5 > I have this folder full of stuff. I open the Widget/HTML kit on my website and can insert e.g. the index.html, but not the whole folder.

Can you tell me which files I need to upload to that kit and if there's a specific order or anything else I might not know? Whenever I tried variations of my upload, the bar would never be complete.

    I included an image.

Of course I also thought about the possibility that it is just not possible with this kind of website...

Thank you already for your help!

  • Thank you! I knew it would something very simple... I thought the dummy was only necessary when you have many animation frames and that 2 would work without the dummy. I should accept that I'm at the point where thinking is not that helpful and stick to the tutorials !

And yes, you are totally right, I have to download the newest version. It's true, I just started with C2 after a very long break...

Mrtumbles, thank you, too! Btw, same with my uni... I just tried it here.

  • Hi everyone! I am trying to design a game to learn reading and writing for kids, but this is only my first sketch. When I run the layout, TomTiger, actually it is the platform, is bouncing up and down, although all the animation frames share the same height and the origin should be placed at the bottom. Can you help me and find the mistake?

I'm sure 1000 questions will follow, but first of all thank you already for this one!

  • Hey there!

I created a tutorial (actually in German) that I used in my art class at school (9th and 10th). I already created a topic in this forum in German, this is the English equivalent.

The tutorial has been uploaded in the tutorial section. (general: PONG for 9th/10th class, for very beginners)

I want to offer my help to all who want to use C2 at school and need some experience. I created a whole lesson row about computer games and art, if you need ideas, just ask me.

    Kind regards!

  • Yes, I did it and it worked well, indeed, but the language was the problem

  • Ok, thanks! I will try to translate everything. I wanted to post it as a tutorial, but that only works with English texts.

    Kind regards!

  • Oh sorry! I've seen some German topics, so I thought some people might be interested. The instruction was actually made for German pupils.

Do you want me to delete the topic?
