  • Thanks, ArcadEd. That's exactly what Mario answered me. I've implemented the fix, the issue is gone now, and I'm waiting for another round of QA.

  • Ok, I have a totally strange issue...

My game failed Spilgames' QA (few times already!) since sometimes 'more games' button doesn't work and/or logo doesn't appear etc.

What I have found out is that SpilgamesAPI sometimes loads, sometimes - not. When it loads, I get everything working fine - logo, more games link, ads in the pause... Test tool shows green. But, in some 30% of cases, API fails to load. This is the case even when I make a dummy project, where ony SpilAPI is included, and one event checking if SpilAPI is loaded.

I have used the latest SpilgamesAPI addon - pix_spilgames1.3beta.c2addon

Did anyone stumble upon similar problem? I guess that the issue might be in the index.html file, specifically in the part where spil.js is invoked.

  • Ok, so, on Intel's page there is an announcement about Crosswalk 7 OpenSSL update.

(software.intel.com, search for 'crosswalk-7 open ssl update'. Sorry - I don't have enough rep for posting urls)

As imaffett promised, there's also a sample petition text that we can use to explain Google that the openssl issue flag is false positive.

Did anyone compile anything in Crosswalk 7 and wrote to Google with that petition? On which address do you send it, and do you send it immediately after you published the app, or after the Google warning appears?

Yes - although I just type 'beta' which is currently version 10, and then recompile as usual. The problem with my apps, however, starts when I run them on my tablet (android 4.2). They become unresponsive too often... I don't know what's the reason behind this. With Crosswalk 7 they worked just fine. However, I must say that this machine is not too strong - on several other machines I see no such problems. That's not a comfort, though, since I know that many users do have weaker machines...

  • So, the OpenSSL alert is here again... As many of people here, I have temporarily bypassed it with installing new OpenSSL on my local machine, but - to be honest, it wasn't a real remedy. We have probably just suppressed it, until Google scanned apps again.

However, now I have a problem with Crosswalk 10 - my apps compiled with this version choke and crash on my tablet Orion 70l (quadcore, 1GHz Cortex A7). On previous version of Crosswalk (7, stable) they have worked ok. I guess that this will start a bunch of angry reviews for my apps, made by lower-end device users...

Worked for me, too. I went to the link you mentioned and downloaded Win64 OpenSSL v1.0.1j.exe (not the light version - this didn't work for me!). Then I opened Intel XDK and changed nothing except App version and Version code in Android Crosswalk/Build Settings (or else Google won't let you upload the app). I didn't even repeat the export for Crosswalk from C2 (step 2) - I just went over to the step 3, and after that I signed and aligned apk as usual. Then I uploaded the apk to Google Play again. Alert was gone after few hours, and I hope it will stay that way.

Sorry if I'm being ignorant, but how can this actually help us fix the problem, if the problem is in Intel XDK? How do we use Cygwin anyway? Thanks in advance for any help.

Btw, I just got a second warning from Google (first one came a day ago) with this title:

"Google Play Second Warning: You are using a highly vulnerable version of OpenSSL"

  • I also got the alert on my 4 apps. The interesting thing is that alert dates are pretty old - for my 2 apps it's dating back from this June (they were published in March and April), for other two dates are 2-3 days after apps were actually published (November, beginning of December. As I remember, June was the time when this OpenSSL issue was first addressed in public. So, basically, alerts were existing for quite a while, but they were not visible to us. Now, Google decided to announce them. It's not C2 specific - two of my apps were made in Flash/AIR, they also got alerts in the same time as my C2/Crosswalk apps.

  • Hi,

I have just upgraded my version of Consruct 2 to r184, however, I still see the double canvas problem on my tablet, on the Android stock browser, just like in gameop's initial post. The issue persists when the 'Fullscreen in browser' project property is set to 'Letter box'.
