Merry Xmas C3 Team, enjoy your break <3
To be more specific, the console returns:
"Uncaught ReferenceError: b is not defined
at <anonymous>:1:1"
My project contains only an 'On start of layout' event block with "let b = "Hello";" in it but when I run the game, the variable 'b' returns as undefined until I manually declare it in the console.
Is this normal behaviour or am I missing something? This is the case with any variable I make - for some reason I'm not able to declare on runtime through an event block.
Multi-tags for Flowchart nodes is huge. Thrilled to see Flowcharts still being maintained - feels like the tool gets closer to its full potential with each update.
The level of ongoing support for Construct is unbelievable and you can feel it becoming a more formidable tool with each update. You guys all deserve a break.
I half-remember someone mentioning that Scirra don't put out roadmaps as a general rule, but is there any indication of what the future might hold for C3 or what the general objectives of the company look like, going forward?
Could you not use a loopindex? Or just add to a variable each time you want to update?
I think that sounds like a fantastic idea.
Hey, I realise now I was using the term expression in the literal sense, not the programmatical one.
It's been a while, but from memory I don't recall any part of the plugin working so I assumed it was broken with more recent updates. Glad to hear you're planning on updating it though and will definitely give it another try then - I think there's a market for this, especially with the recent Flowchart update not providing as much functionality for branching narrative, conditions, etc. as people might have expected.
Framerate settings is a nice surprise! Does this mean we can optimise for multiple devices without needing to faff about with deltatime or am I misunderstanding?
Wonderful update! Any news on if and when we can expect the ability to loop from one flowchart node into the back of another?
I'm interested to see what kind of functionality people will end up building in for flowchart and tools like chatmapper, articy draft, etc.
Looking through, doesn't seem like it would be all that hard to get it to read and output simple jason dialogue exports.
Beta updates lately have been great - Construct Team are amazing, thanks for your wonderful hard work! <3
Super exciting! Not currently able to test much however as entering any value into a node causes an error crash.
Hey! Is this currently functional? The documentation mentions expressions that aren't recognised ("CanContinue", "LastText", etc.)
Additionally, I can't seem to get anything working. None of the existing expressions are affecting text. I may be using it wrong, but I've read the documentation on GitHub several times and can't see where I would be.
