  • Hello. I am creating a indie MMORPG on Construct3. (It isn't that hard for me, since my first account was hacked before I created this one.) I plan it to be a bit like "Club Penguin (2004-2016)" and "Toontown Online (1998-2013)". However there is one issue in particular: The minigames. FYI, the minigames are not multiplayer, however the other parts of the game are. I tried this once in the Online Game template, but the button to access the minigame just didn't work. Plus, when I inserted the "Game" script into the "Minigame" script, the lasers from the "Game" script appear (which I kinda expected). Can anyone please help me with solving this problem?

  • Try Construct 3

  • It's a difficult problem. You will need a backend service, an account system to provide logins, a reporting system that feeds in to that, a system to ban or otherwise moderate accounts that violate the moderation policy, and people to keep reviewing it regularly.

By far the easiest solution is to not allow players to do anything that could violate a moderation policy. This is why many games auto-assign usernames and avatars, or only allow choosing between combinations of pre-set values, and only provide pre-set messages for player chat.

I like that "auto-assigned username" thing! I think I'll create some preset options, and players can request a special username by email which they unlock using a password.

  • Sorry but I REALLY need help, someone please help me!

  • The reports for innapropriate usernames will get sent to me, then if the report is accepted the player is not allowed to access the game again.

  • It speaks for itself. How do I create a system that detects if someone's username is innapropriate or shares personal info?

  • That's okay, thanks for the info.

  • If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's kind of like the SpeedChat (not to be confused with SpeedChat+) mechanics in Disney's ToonTown Online.

  • The Embed Window looks small on my website (intergala.wixsite.com/quack-legends and there seems to be no way to change it.

  • Thanks :D

  • Hello, I'm currently developing a game called "Quack Legends" ("Quack" is really spelt like that. IKR, it's a stupid name but it's the only thing that wasn´t being used already), and it's gonna have a code system (like in those games where you enter a code, click a button and if the code is valid you get some perks). But I don't know how. I'd like my code to look a bit like this:

If "CodeTextBox" text is: W84FJ3JK then:

Wait for "CodeButton" to be pressed

    When "CodeButton" pressed then:

    Add "1200" to "Coins"

    "CodeSuccesful" set transparency to "Visible"

    Thanks for reading!
