I've never made an RTS but is there not a way that the background or in this case the floor can be clicked then set compare direction in some way?

Just thinking out loud:

Why not create a sprite with a movement behaviour and have it move to the mouse coordinates?

Use system scrollto to scrollto the sprite when needed and you can tweak the scrolling speed with the movement behaviour..

You could make a nice set of cursors then too.

You would have to make the text a sprites I should imagine or the word a sprite, most of the text in my games mainly in menu is made in another 3D modelling program and exported into .png, this way you can add events to them in the event sheet, but I'm not making entire paragraphs I'm talking single words or basic sentences on screen, like "twitter" from the sounds of things your doing lots of text?

There is an RTS template in C2 that might help with mouse scrolling, this might be able to be adapted so you can drag and change the speed of the dragging, might be worth looking at if you haven't already.

Basically I can't get objects and layer boxes to appear on the main screen by selecting them under the view check boxes, when I check them nothing happens either way, so if I tick to remove them nothing happens and when I check to show them nothing happens, I can however get this to work with other checkboxes such as "Bookmark" and other view options just layers and objects nothing seems to happen for me.

Steps to Reproduce Bug

• attempt to view the objects box
• attempt to view the layers box
• press the construct 2 logo in the top left corner

Observed Result

Construct 2 crashes when pressing the top left construct 2 logo, unable to view object and layers boxes no matter how many times I tick un tick them in the view.

Expected Result

Not to crash when clicking the top left construct 2 button and be able to view the objects and layers boxes when ticking and unticking them in the view option.
