  • Great update, thanks for all the ongoing work on better export and Steam support.

There is an issue with the Steam Overlay of the Steamworks addon. On some systems : it doesn't work and completely freeze the app window making it impossible to resize/close and without showing any error in the console. It happens to other C3 devs from the Discord too.

    Reported the issue here: github.com/Scirra/Construct-bugs/issues/8328

  • Good..

  • When I scrub through a timeline in this version the animation does not update. This is evident in the Sunset Runner example. Im sure this used to work at some point?

Make sure the pencil icon is toggled in the Timeline bar. Scrubbing to preview of a timeline only works when editing is enabled. You can also tell if the current timeline can be edited because the selection rectangle of instances is a yellow color rather than the normal light blue.

  • I'm still waiting for a way to be able to modify the behaviour of the autobrush at the edge of a tilemap. Then I can make seamless looping worlds...

  • Great update! Thanks!

  • Im pretty sure this release broke my flowcharts and the logic along with it

    • This is confirmed after rolling back to version R407.2. Sticking with that version for now. Sad because I wasted 2 hrs trying to understand what the problem was :/. Other than that this release looks promising but I really wished that all the new changes were listed instead of "Lots of improvements for Flowcharts including 'Preset' nodes, support for multiple tags, a new empty flowchart view, and more". There should be a comprehensive list of changes to each change, especially if it is going to break things.

There is a comprehensive list of changes in the beta releases in all intervening releases - they're all linked at the start of the release notes. I don't believe anyone reported any such issues during the beta period - if you can please do file an issue about any new problems and if they are regressions since the previous stable release they will be prioritized.

  • Wonderful works on supporint SteamDeck!!

And the Project Bar support for Auto reload all on preview for sounds, music, videos, fonts, icons & screenshots and files folders!? Really cool for debugging and modifying!

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request an official and comprehensive user manual for the specific class/library WE are working with.

This would greatly assist me in understanding its functionalities and best practices more thoroughly.Or i could just test and consolelog it many times to brower the runtime and the globalthis.

Thank you very much for your attention and support. I look forward to your response.

  • is there a way to save game to %AppData and get system strings for the user's path?

  • so to be clear, you can't use Greenworks and Steamworks plugins at the same time right?

Greenworks is for NW.js and Steamworks is for Windows WebView2 and Linux CEF. You can probably have both in the same project and only one will work depending on the platform, but I'd recommend only one or the other per project.
