Notes

All being well, we're hoping to make a stable release next week. So this release is one more beta release to get some final changes and fixes in for the next stable release.

We have a new example 'Coral savior' that makes great use of audio effects for underwater sounds. There's also some updates to the 'Simple keyboard movement' and the TypeScript code example to use our new 'Spell caster' art assets. There's also a few bug fixes, in particular some for the new Addon SDK v2. Happy testing and stay tuned for a stable release soon.

  • Does Autocomplete work for project files as well? I'm not sure if this is an oversight or if it's not supported yet. I imported the Fonts file and then set the font face in the Text object. Currently, it does not trigger the Autocomplete.

  • Guys, I noticed something that's not in the changelog. Have you changed anything regarding how the "Preview project" button works? On the previous version it was playing the current layout on which I was. Which is not what was initially intended I guess, and you corrected it. Just asking because I was used to it. Now I'm using the proper option but just wanted to know if you changed it in this version.

      There was no intentional change to how the "Preview" button works. Any intentional change would have been covered in the changelog. Note you can change what the "Preview" button on the main toolbar does by clicking the dropdown arrow next to it and selecting a new option under the "Main button" submenu.

      • I understand, but I believe a change was indeed made because I have 2 layouts. In my project settings the "First Layout" is set to Layout Number 1. And so far, while being on Layout 2 in the main view and clicking the dropdown, selecting either "Preview Project" or "Debug Project" it was playing Layout 2 directly. Now this behavior has changed it does start playing from Layout 1. So my question was, was this an intentional change? I can confirm it has changed as I just re-tested it with the previous R395 version. Hence my surprise as this isn't in the changelog and you guys are usually thorough :)
