  • Hello, I'm having problems, I'm using the TEMPLATE you published for testing, I'm exporting from C3 to CONSOLE, I open everything in VS2017, and I practically don't know what to do, I tried to do what I already did in the old UWP model, which is to ASSOCIATE the project in the MICROSOFT STORE, I don't know if you have to download NUGET and install inside the project, I tried to open the Package.appxmanifest and VIEW THE CODE to change the TargetFamily but this option doesn't appear, so I created the Package, but it gives a windows 10 SDK error, I've already reinstalled the SDK and it gives the same error when creating the Package. Ashley, could you create a walkthrough, as you're kind of confused on how to proceed. and in advance, THANK YOU, very good Cloud save.

See the 'Documentation' tab for details. Microsoft also provide lots of documentation.

You can (and should) use the latest version of Visual Studio when exporting for Xbox - there is no requirement to use VS2017 specifically. (That is only necessary to build the wrapper extension DLL itself, but if you're just using this plugin in a project, it's already built.)

  • Hi Ashley, how are you? I hope so!

I'm having the following problem with creating the package, do you know what it could be?

    Thanks

  • Hey, this is great but as a xbox partner I received note that UWP games will not be supported anymore at idzyj@xbox starting 2024, are there any plans for other console export options?

At the moment this is the only viable option for us, as it depends on WebView2, which Microsoft have released only for UWP. If they released it for GDK we'd support that too. As there is no other alternative for us, perhaps if you ask Microsoft they will make an exception - I would guess it's just a policy they have and not a technical requirement.
