I didn't make this game, and it seems this game was a fan-made game itself, as there's no copyright, credits or author information whatsoever.

I just like to "remake" games so that they work on modern Windows. That means learning how to write a "reader" so that my program can use the ORIGINAL files and run/play the game.

I'm a fan of recreating old games for personal use, but I can't really allow discussion on depacking on here. There are plenty of sites on web that deal with such things.

*moved as question is nothing to do with C2

Did you create this game? Do you own the resources?

If not then please don't ask users how to steal resources, regardless of when they were created.

  • Hi,

does Construct 2 support Tilemaps from Cosmigos Pro Motion?

Or is there any kind of worklof to achive that?

    Greetings

Just tested this with the free version and it seems to work fine with C2 if exporting as .tmx.

I imported a full image of a level from an old game called Zool and created a tilemap from the image.

    I then exported as tmx.

In C2, set Layout to relevant height/width of map, add a Tilemap, accept defaults, click on Tilemap window and choose second option from right - import tmx to this object.

Worked perfectly. Imported tilemap spritesheet and created level.

Only tested using one tmx layer.

Obviously, in C2 to make use we would generally add more Layers for collision sprites (floors, walls, spikes etc), active components (animations, baddies etc), HUD, and so on.

Interesting piece of software. Thanks for the heads up.

  • Thanks for your work thechriskent

Do you think it's technically possible to add "Load image from URL" to your plugin SpriteFont+ ?

If you look at a user's profile, it lets you know the last time they visited.

Unfortunately the creator of this plugin hasn't been on here for over 2 years, so is unlikely to respond to your request.

  • : I'm using Release 212 of C2

I can't see any reason why anyone would still be using a version from 2.5 years ago. There have been many, many changes to C2 since then. It is not feasible to try and support such an old version.

Please upgrade to at least the latest stable release (link at bottom of forum) or it's likely that users giving you examples will not work.

    Thanks

  • ok i do a try ^^ thank u

Please also be aware that it is Sunday, so it is likely that the support email won't be read until tomorrow.

But don't worry, as Tom and team will get you sorted ASAP on Monday.

This has already been answered in the following thread, so no real need for another.

    Works for me.

There are a few server issues at the mo so best to just wait a bit and try later.

Please keep it civil - making an analogy doesn't warrant a negative response.

    But how could they run the .capx ? ;-;

The free version can run a .capx that exceeds the free version limitations - it just cannot edit it in any way. So you could get them to just install the free version.

If you have a licensed copy then you could either export via the cordova option or use one of the many free hosting sites that still do allow you to run an html file.
