  • I always save multiple copies, but as a single .capx. Especially when a new version is released. I rarely use the 'folder' option when saving.

  • The .capx worked for me, although it only gave me 11 FPS when a few blocks start moving :(

  • You have to click 'Continue' on the page Ashley has directed you to. You then have to validate you have a genuine OS then you can download the Support Tools suite of programs.

  • Have you added to the Object list?

  • Not sure, but from the look of THIS document, NETSH http add is not for Windows XP. Are you using XP or Vista/Win 7?

  • I wonder if THIS SOLUTION from ROJOhound may be of use. Although not quite the same situation as the original thread, the theory of adjusting the sprite to the movement may also work in this instance.

    Worth a try, perhaps.

That URL is the same as the Search link alongside the Chat, FAQ etc links. It's the URL I've always used to search.

  • I just tried pining the text object to the shield in the built-in 'Pin behavior.capx' example and it worked. Is that what you mean?

  • Usually with this error, you can continue to click 'Ignore' until the project loads, then replace the missing frame.

I've tried to load your project, but although I (think) I have the correct plugins - Extra Expressions and REx's Function - it still won't load.

    I get:

  • Might also be worth trying the export without using Minify, as this is known to break at times.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I always create a new saved version with the added suffix of the revision. So for instance, if the game is called MoonWalker, then I install revision 73, then I will save a new copy as MoonWalkerR73.capx. That then becomes the current project.

    One option you could try.

Why not have 2 copies of mario - one using physics and one using the platform behavior. Destroy and create the appropriate one whenever it's needed.

    ** EDIT **

Having just played around with this idea, I can't recommend it. I'm not sure if it's mixing Physics and Platform behaviors (even though not on the same sprite), but it seems to make C2 behave VERY erratically. It's crashing more than it has since the early days :(

I may be wrong but considering he's heavily advertising apple products, I would guess this is spam.

  • Easiest way would be to place the inventory on a separate layer, then make that layer visible/invisible as required.

  • It's off the file menu. See manual entry HERE.
