  • I am trying to create a multiple choice quiz that is based on images (such as "Select the mammal") and am struggling trying to figure out how to set up and reference an image array in Construct 2. Any help - especially tutorials or examples - would be great!

    Thanks!

I just did a quick search and found a few things that may be of use.

    What about THIS post?

Can we get a favorite button that saves the post id to our profile for future ease of access? (something like what StackOverflow does)

Posts like: are one that I want to keep track of into the future.

What's wrong with the 'Bookmark Topic' link at the forum footer?

Bookmarks are then accessed via your 'User Control Panel' at the top of the page.

  • I don't see a "Accept cookies from sites" checkbox in Firefox's privacy settings: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15217362/firefoxprivacy.png

Are you using an extension that adds it?

Your settings show the default option of 'Remember History'. It needs to be changed to 'Use Custome settings for history' - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/settings-privacy-browsing-history-do-not-track

  • Hi, i'm in version 206 and the Webstorage was deleted..

My game is similar that flappy birds. I want to save the best highscore in all games. I have the value "score" that show the current score. But, if "score" is greater than the besthighscore, i want to save this "score" in "highscore".

I already read the tutorials, but i don't found the solution..

    Help? Thanks!

Webstorage has been deprecated for over 6 months. When you update, it's best to keep up with the release notes.

Also, r206 is from May - you should really update your version to at lease the latest stable, currently r216, available HERE.

  • Not sure whats going on but the gradients on my images are a lot worse with Alpha 6

I'm testing alpha 6 also and haven't noticed any colour issues. Are you using any effects or is it just images with gradients?

I've come across some very good educational programs in the 'Other' section when IMO they should really have there own 'Educational' category. A good example is the following: https://www.scirra.com/arcade/other-games/functionsvocab1-3261 from an educational user called

Also, a new user - see https://www.scirra.com/forum/the-official-introduce-yourself-thread_p994349?#p994349 - is looking at software to convert online flash maths programs, which from what I can see, C2 could do easily.

If we could point such users to a definitive category rather than a generic 'catch-all' where they would need to hunt through for examples, than it looks more professional - again, IMO

    Any thoughts?

  • Hi All,

My name is Scott and I work for an Educational Content company based in London. I'm doing some research on tools to assist in recreating 1200+ Maths lessons that are currently in Flash into something mobile friendly.

There are some good examples of maths games in the Arcade, for instance https://www.scirra.com/arcade/other-games/functionsvocab1-3261.

Only free version, free version with the pay version is not the same

    I bought a paid version.

i bought personal version in "steam", but only have free version in "steam" now.

    Then you should contact Steam.

Steam licensing is handled by Steam - there's nothing anyone here can do to remedy that.

Maybe other Steam users may have encountered such a problem and if so, may be able to offer some extra guidance, but you should contact Steam first.

  • Something Ashley is constantly pointing out to people is that the problem with one large background graphic is that if it's dimensions are over 2048x2048 then not many GPUs - especially mobile - would be able to render it.

Chopping the background into chunks then joining them in a massive Layout would be better.

If it is crucial, then relying on others isn't really the best policy.

I would recommend downloading the free version and just have a play around for a few days, making the odd prototype or two.

  • auto update by steam is functional

    Thanks.

  • I sometimes experience similar/same issues.

When I have a little bigger project opened, and I change either a property value or close the image editor, the Projects and Properties fields get reset, they scroll up to the top, I think close opened subfolders; Properties field shows Project properties (even if I edited an object's property).

Again. Would really need step-by-step instructions to reproduce or Ashley won't be able to fix. If you could find a way to reproduce, then as Ashley has said, please post to Bugs section.

It is definitely still for sale, so I assume that setting your version up to auto update via Steam should still work (any Steam users, please confirm).
