    Hello!

My contribution to the rotary competition, I bring you Shadow Ninja!

    http://www.scirra.com/arcade/addicting-rotary-games/610/shadow-ninja

This is the first game I have ever made and since I lack all the skills of design/drawing, I went with a black and white sort of Stick Figure game.

The goal is to get trough each stage as fast as possible in order to collect Badges (Gold, Silver, Bronze).

More levels will come and also more things to interact with in the stages such as elevators and buttons.

    To do:

    Save/Load game state

    Sound on/off

Any feedback is welcome and I almost insist on it <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle">

    Have Fun! EDIT*EDIT**EDIT*

  • I see that my game came trough! Thx!

  • Yes I'm positive, have triple checked the files again and there seems to be no problem with neither the behaviors or plugins... The game is technically quite simple...

  • Now I get the error "Zip contains file extensions not on the whitelist" instead, even tough the zip is exported directly from Construct 2 using the option export to Scirra Arcade....

  • Having the exact the same problem! Trying to upload my contribution to the rotary competition...

  • Aha, I understand, didn't even cross my mind that the player didn't need physics. Thank you for fast reply!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Hello, I've have a big problem that I've spent hours to try and solve without any luck. Basically my sprite is shaking, and I have tried to follow the guide with a invisible block with bounding box that the sprite follows, but the sprite (and block) is still shaking. What am I doing wrong???

    The code:

    imagehosting.nu/testshakingblocks.capx

Please help, trying to enter the rotary competition :)

  • The yellow stuff are comments.

Just notes for the programmers' eyes, they have no effect on the code/project itself.

I have realised that now, thx for reply :)

  • Thx i already read trough those, didn't understand the ""IF", "ELSE IF", "OR"... - LINK" until I read it trough again. I thought that I have to find the yellow background text "if or" etc as in the example in the link, my bad!

  • Hello, iv'e been looking around but can't seem to grasp how to add "or" logic in the events. I want to do the following:

    System -> globalvariable1 = X OR globalvariable2 = y -> Run actions!

anyone have an idea how to do this?

ps. I already figured out how to do "and" in event...

  • I will do! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • THX :)

  • Hey guys, I want to reopen this question.

Which way to handle different levels would be better for low level hardware such as cellphones etc. Basically which way to handle levels is least resource demanding?

Another question is, if I have different layers but make them invisible, will they still load when starting the leyout?

  • How to join the competition? Was it just to upload the game into the arcade or do we have to post in the forum/send email to admin or something like that?

  • Quite nice game, keep up the good work and give us an update if you get the sound to work, runs a little slow on Samsung galaxy s (not the second version) running 2.2
