  • Hi, Im creating a Gauntlet type game and I have a issue with AI.

I cant seem to figure out a method to have Monsters spawn (well i can make them spawn) and then run around the maze after the player.

I could just make them run straight after the player, but its a maze so its a bit arbitrary to have them run into a wall until you decide to go to them.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

  • k thanks

  • Well the topic was "SUGGESTIONS on how to make this?"

Not "HOW ARE I MAKERZ THIS"

Honestly you could have given me a vague hint and I would have been happy lmao.

    Hence my frustration.

  • *facepalm* So by your logic if I understand a few simple things I understand everything?

Why is there a help forum then...

    But, oh well *shrug*

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Lol i've already made a simple defense shooter so im decently knowledgeable when it comes to construct... Lol

I can post it if you want

  • Me and my friend have been messing with construct recently. So we decided to create a game of our own with it.

We have our own story, yada yada yada.

But I have a couple questions... We want it to look something like this

    <img src="http://i411.photobucket.com/albums/pp197/zwatkins15/concept.jpg?t=1268946738">

But we cant really figure out how we can go about creating:

A: The console in the game...

    B: The realtime Map

    Any tips on such things?

Oh and the map works such as you press up, and it goes up one cube, down you go down one cube, etc. We want it this way so that essentially everything can run off of the console, the map is essentially a gui for the console. (It runs off coordinates)

  • Good job on completing ghost shooter! Now you can start on an original project. While this may have been a good learning experience for you, you should aim to show off something original. I know you're enthusiastic about showing off your first game, but people generally don't respond well to ghost shooter clones. The your creations section is for completely original works only.

Tip: - Don't use windows UI objects, ever. They're glitchy crap.

Sorry, didnt quiet realise this was a clone...

lol ok thanks, ill keep that in mind
