  • Hi guys, I'm having trouble to understand the Sub-events. I read the manual. Obviously following structure should work... but unfortunately it didn't. On doubleclick over each of the boxes, it should change its color and display the click status. Could someone take a look and say what is wrong??

    Thanks

  • :) Thanks for that considerably explanation!! It works.

    Maybe someday the implicit condition, that for a Physics joint both objects have to be Physics, could be explicitly added to the manual under the appropriate section, and to the Ashley's tutorial about joints?!

  • I really like physics and have tried the distance joint first. It's a pity but it did not worked as expected. I have created two sprites, added the Physics behavior to the first one and said on start of layout C2 to create a distance joint to the second one. After start of the "game" the physical sprite just drop down, since the other one remained on place. I expected the first one to move/rotate like ticker of a clock under the second one... What was wrong?? Thanks for cooperation.

  • :) I'm having a headache because of thinking of your problem... Since yesterday I'm trying and trying different combinations but no success until now... Damn, it sounds so easy...

  • Hi, yeh, nice start... keep doing. For me the assets are not blurred on zoom out or zoom in. Cheers.

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I like the simplicity of the game and its C2 interpretation...

    What was the name of the original pen and paper game?? Interesting would be also what were the initial rules and how was it to be played real ...

    Do you mind to share your capx file with us??

    Cheers

  • Started a game development with standard HTML/CSS and PHP GD support for animations and custom graphics... Meanwhile I stumbled across C2 and started to like it :)

  • I'd like to support that asking. I'm confused as long as I open 3-4 projects and they all have the same name: Layout 1/Event sheet 1... after a hour working I don't know anymore which one was my original project and which one is the new...

    The name of the file or the name of the Project added to the Construct window title would be very helpful.

  • For your information and just for my ease, I'm using the arrow keys to move the origin or every other custom point. That way I'm sure, that what I see is what I get.

  • Using the full-screen scale or crop settings is not the same as to know and set my game playground to a specific size. That way I could "know" where are the borders of my playground and could limit the background and the layers to that size... furthermore I could work with absolute coordinates for the objects...

  • The proposal of nutmix is interesting. I'd like to go that way, because I think that to have flexible screen resolution is important and really needed feature.

    It would be very appreciated to have integrated functions in C2 to "detect" the users browser and screen resolutions and to have the possibility to "set" the window size to that.

  • Yes, thanks for the tip!! Using following AutoHotkey script C2 is working as I wanted:

    #IfWinActive ahk_class #32770 ;this ahk_class was reported for the small pop-up windows within Costruct 2

         MButton::Enter

    return

  • Hi there... I've just wondering if it could be possible to implement this in C2 while working on an Event sheets:

    The middle mouse button to work as keyboard Enter. It would be much quicker to do Next-Next-Done during changes of Actions or Events properties.

    Sincerely

  • C2 IS a game-making tool. Powerful, yes, but every game maker (pun intended) out there has it's limitations. Scirra is doing great job for such a small company, especially with all the latest betas.

    My advice to you Konidias - learn to code. It would solve all your problems. C2 is not for everyone - it has it's pros and cons.

    I'd just like to support your opinion :) For me HTML5 works also better than Flash. And more - Flash causes my browser or computer to crash sometime, and HTML5 does still not.

  • Yeh, I know... I'm reading some old posts among the new one... But anyway, heh, maybe you mean that those days in 2011 the MMOs were like normal multiplayer games... And nowadays it is something more ... Oh, I see now!! <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
