Sorry I'm new to game development and to this software!

So I just add the object to the game project

Right Click > Insert New Object > Scirra Arcade

    and that's it ?

  • Hello all,

I see this feature mentioned in the r212.2

A new Scirra Arcade plugin that can submit hi-scores to leaderboards on the new Scirra Arcade

How can I implement it in a game?

    Thanks

  • If it's in English, leave it in English - better than google translation.

The only way I think that a google translation may be better is in case of Japanese or something, where though stupid, I may at least have some understanding of what is going on and can remember options I've selected.

  • They can!

Movies are also supposed to be for entertainment only (at least the fictional one) but they have been known to forge opinions and "convey knowledge" of lands/history/people - they are the ones that have the most effect on us (from the entertainment industry)

I don't really understand the concept of preachy - you are the director/producer and you are presenting an idea supported by visuals in a form of a game to the public, they either like it or not. When they view your idea they have to consider what you may have wanted to convey and/or why the characters make such choices, in the context of their own experience.

Some people think that the Matrix is preachy, so I wouldn't worry about it

My advise would be, if you are interested in doing such a project - make sure that a game is story driven and make sure to make the locations/environment stand out.

This wouldn't necessarily bring to change, but it may make people aware of a message or an event, if they are interested enough, they can look further into it (remember, they may not be aware such a thing exist at all) and at some point they will have to make a choice.

  • Hello all,

    I'm Stan (full name Stanislav).

I'm 29 and I've been actively involved in the multimedia field for the last five years - i have experience with music, audio, video, motion graphics, some 3D CAD/modelling, photography.

I've always been interested in video games but producing one was always next to impossible for me because I really want it to be at least as good as an 8 bit game - so graphics, sound and music and game play; just coding was never enough (I do not have any experience programming past high school)

Hopefully, I will be able to full fill my 3rd grade dream of making an 8bit video game lol - I've spent several weeks to research the products out there and this is the product I found to be the best for what I need.

Thank you for the great engine!
