  • I am sorry to start this thread, but I am realy annoyed by the behaviour of some members of this board and I would like to ask the community how they see this.

Everyone is sticking to the board rule, that the language to be used is english.

This seems not to apply to the spanish community members. They constantly ignore the admonishment from Tom, there even exist a spanish TUTORIAL

This all makes me wonder why all the others, that also have another mouther tongue try to put everything in english....

So, how do you see this? I am a litte p... and right now, I am more or less not willing to help any spanish people out anymore... <img src="smileys/smiley7.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • Maybe this thread should be closed to prevent the temptation....

  • People...I am not looking for a work around. The point is, that a phsyics engine should be able to handle thouse basics!!!

  • that's a workaround and not suitable if you need other angles during execution.

And honestly - THESE both are basic physic behaviours. Nothing fancy at all and IMHO this should work without any work around!

  • Ok...here the first sightings:

If you set "prevent rotation" to "YES" on "body" it seems to work just fine...

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • This is gettinge ridiculous....why does my avatar drops to left if move mirrored?

Take a look at the CAPX

  • Yeap CAPX is neccessary

  • As I said...make sure, that there is no "throw back"

  • it is allways a very good idea to provide your CAPX....

  • From the first look, I would say that you have two animations "fighting" for the right to be shown. I have to understand your code first to be really sure.

Yapp - WALKING and DEFAULT are the two compettitors

You have to review your code. Since you are useing PHYSICS your avatar gets "reflected" by the obstacles, ie. he gets thrown back y few pixels, so if the right arrow is still pressed, the plattform is still "moveing" after the short stop at the wall. The stop makes "DEFAULT" visible and then the "throwback" immediatly starts "WALKING" again...

  • Without seeing you CAPX its very hard for me to help you out

  • Your solution works, and you did it by yourself. So why don't you think it's ok? This is not a code beauty contest <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • The pyhsic engine seems to be quite buggy - as I found out and also reported. Depending on the shape of the collision polygone the enginge shows very "unpredictable" behaviour

  • what is really strange that, if you tilt the elevetor platform a litle bit, the problem does NOT occure....so I would say, bug - not a feature

so Kyatric, what you're saying is, that "phics" is "experimental" to the developer <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

Work Around: Edit the collision polygone so it is not one of the standards!! Make it "bumpy"

  • Yeah - let's start pettifogging <img src="smileys/smiley14.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
