  • Works better now but sadly it still spawns the first one halfway out of the box..no idea why

  • I know the size of the units are smaller than they need to be but that is because i want free space around them, I tried making them fit perfectly in size but the problem still occurs with the spawning being off at the beginning.

    Anyone know what might cause this?

  • Ok sorry I will try to be more specific and clear in the future.

    This is so close to what I need but I cant get it to work properly as it starts creating a box a little outside the top-left corner and the 2nd spawns where the 3rd one should be but from there it goes like intended (Sort of) still needs to be placed right.. FYI the cargobox is 100x100px and the boxunit is 20x20px.. I have attached screenshots of what it looks like now with your code.

    Hopefully you can help me one last time to get it right and I sincerely appreciate your efforts. Thanks a lot.

  • That is nice but I want it to happen when an object gets destroyed and without having to mouse over the area so it would automatically spawn.

  • So I am trying to get an empty box fill up one by one with smaller boxes and have a small space between them.

    It is a 4x4 box so there should be 16 small boxes inside. How do I make this?

  • So I want to create an endless space game and dont know for sure how to make it so the player can go in any direction infinitely without reaching an edge and also I want to know if its possible to make a giant star map?

  • I am in need of an artist who will work for free (expanding his portfolio). If this game gets published and starts generating an income I will pay this artist for his work.

    I am making a top-down space game sim with a handful of features and interesting gameplay. I need some artwork for:

    • Ships
    • Nebulas
    • Stations
    • Lasers/guns
    • Thrusters
    • Explosions
    • UI maybe?
    • And anything else in this regard

    So far I have made a ship myself that works as a placeholder in my project. Currently what you can do in my game is fly around a square space area(trying to figure out how to make space endless) with blinking stars in the distance and bad nebula artwork barely showing in the darkness of deep space. As you fly around you will find asteroids that you can mine some ore out of and also enemy ships can be encountered and will fire and chase you as you get too close. The current UI shows health, fuel, credits, speed and cargo but the artwork is not ideal and probably needs to be replaced.

    Keep in mind that this is free work as I do not have any funding for this project yet but in case the game starts generating an income i will pay those who helped making this game a reality.
