  • ... the only one I can remember is "Hooligans: Storm over Europe" but it is also not compareable I guess.

But RIOT just looks awesome, cool atmosphere and great animations. Since I am at work I just couldn't turn up the volume, so no feedback on the audio.

I am really interested in how gameplay will look like and if there is a storyline.

    A great job so far!

  • Reminds me of The Settlers, Cultures, The Nations... Loved The Settlers since the first one, but somehow the latest ones (except the settlers 2 remake) lost their character due to the change of graphics style and story telling. Really a promising and very ambitious project so far. I really hope it keeps that cute comic style and hope to see some animated people soon.

Big respect to you Pakost and one eye on this project.

  • Hi. This usually depends on the goal you want to achieve. You want to finish one of your projects I guess.

If you feel confident about having the skills to finish every title in your sketchbook i'd stick to the most uncommon and innovative one. Just be sure there is a base of gamers out there wanting to play it. Coming up with something never seen before will catch the most attention.

There will be even a more critical feedback on your work, since no one would pay the same attention to the 100st clone of an already released game.

Sure it can be a clone, but there should be some new aspects or features in it to show up between the other titles.

Have something like that? Stick to it!

    My opinion. <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Love that overall retro design and your Construct 2-reference Logo.

  • Hi Lemonmuncher. Welcome! Glad you made it into the forums and Scirra-community.

Your project really sounds interesting. Reminds me a bit of "Lost Vikings". Looking forward to see some progress on the art and mechanics of your game.

  • There should be a function to execute as follows:

If object collides with wall on pressing "right" move object for 1 px to the left. Loop that event and you should just stand in front of the wall.

  • Hi.

I am a games enthusiast. Started early with sandbox game cration solutions like Click'N'Play, Games Factory, Multimedia Fusion and Game Maker. Just did some basic games some years ago with these platforms.

I am into the mobile phone business for about five years now, and I struggled about a year or so on which horse to bet for mobile game development, GM or C2. Well, my presence here surely points out that C2 has made the race. Steam 15 % offer made it more easy to choose. :-)

I've three projects on my mind at the moment (still in the storyboard/timeline pre-design phase), but I hope to put on a beta soon of one of the projects I am doing.

Mainly I hope to release them for Windows Phone 8 and Android.

Until then, thanks Scirra for this awesome tool you've created.
