  • Thanks A0Nasser,

    that did the trick!

  • Hi,

I am trying to make a piano and created the keys with sprites.

Each sprite has one animation frame added to show the key "down state" mode.

Here is the problem. In Flash, I have a "stop" command which prevents animation from starting until I call that event via a mouse listener ...

How do I prevent the keys to go to frame 1 when I start the game? (remember, frame one is the down state).

    Thanks

  • Hey,

I've modified a great file that comes with C2 and played with it a bit.

What I'd like to do next is clean up the sprites once I drag them to one or 8 possible locations.

Here is a URL if you want to take a look: hmmm, I just saw that I can't post a url? littlecomposers.com/assets/x/

The app, once is it complete, will feature draggable blocks which can be arranged in different ways and is meant for young children to compose music with.

Thanks for any hints or links to tutorial(s).

Because a picture is worth more than a 1000 words ...

I have a few Flash driven apps on my website LittleComposers.com

The reason why I am looking into C2 is so that I can replace the Flash apps with proper HTML5 apps.

The ones I am talking about can be found on the LittleComposers website under "PLAY" (main menu)

I have literally just discovered C2 and love what I see but searching for "snap" is hard because most links point to the C2 editor and not to running apps.

I really appreciate your help and suggestions.

  • Thank you TheDom, that did the trick.

Because you answer all my questions, I might as well bug you for one more solution.

I am trying to find a tutorial or method to do "on-screen" dragging and snapping.

For example. I would like the player to arrange sprites in new ways but instead of dropping them anywhere, they should line up neatly.

    How would you do that?

  • TheDom,

I will give that a try as soon as i finish the thing I'm working on right now.

    Thank you!

  • Hello,

an included Construct sample game "Taking Screenshots" lets me save screenshots. That is awesome!

How could I import a picture and use it as a background while the game is already running?

I am trying to build an app which can open user pictures and set them as the background, then drag assets freely on screen and save a new screenshot of it all to the users system.

    Thank you,

    V

P.S. I just found out about "Users Media" ...

  • Hey,

I am trying to recreate a piano which I made in SwishMax (Flash).

What is the best practice for replacing one image with another image on touch or click?

I am also having a hard time finding a tutorial on "snapping" on-screen contend with drag and drop.

To be clear, let's say you had two boxes and you want a child to drop an object into each box which then snaps to the center of the box when dropped.

    Thank you for your help,

    V

  • Hello all,

    I am V and just discovered C2.

My goal is to replace SwishMax with C2 to make children's games.

Also, I'd love to get to know local C2 users if there are any?

    Ciao for now,

    V
