Hey, does your Slide In Menu Template cover how to make a scrollable store? Having items on the screen and being able to scroll down to more items within a store menu window.

  • Those who buy C2 and purchase C3 will get a discount off of C3. Construct 2 is good, really good and is not a cookie cutter game engine. It has its limits but it's a great engine!

  • I've got a layout where I put the sprite pieces to my bosses of my game in. The sprite pieces have a few frames each. I make sure that they work well with the boss and then once that's done I cut and paste them to what I call the BossPiecesLayout, just so I feel organized. Every boss that I cut and paste the pieces into the layout, Memory Use Increases by about 4mb. Why is this? How concerned should I be? What will this do?

  • I contacted Ludei a couple of months back and inquired about their 2 project limit. Apparently what it means is that you can have a max of 2 active projects. If you want to add a new one, you are free to remove an old one and than put the new one in. Honestly, I think this is an okay term.

Not only that. Someone could just make another account and have 2 more separate projects.

  • > If you buy Construct 2, you will still have to buy Construct 3, but at a discounted price.

    >

How can you be sure of that ? I read nothing official about this potential "discount"'

But yes it would be cool.

Well there's your proof! Cool, isn't it?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • You guys, Cocoon.IO is Ludei's new Compiler Service!

cs2curious have you even looked at the guide I provided you with? Have you even gone to site that I told you to go to?

CocoonJS isn't really supported anymore, and if you do end having problems in the future with it, you're not gonna receive much or any help at all since the forums are dead.

Cocoon.IO on the other hand is an active community.

  • So I guess I am just SOL ?

It's more of your lack of knowledge on how to follow instructions or even create a ZIP Folder.....

  • If you buy Construct 2, you will still have to buy Construct 3, but at a discounted price.

If your wondering if you should buy C2 or just wait for C3. Don't. C3 is not being released anytime soon.

  • because setting an integer variable to 0 or 1 is the same thing,

though i think it should reduce a bit of code, instead of checking if something == 1 or 0 , you could do if (var) -> do something,

because booleans by default have false or true only. wouldn't affect performance, only would be easier to write a line.

I didn't know that. Thank you! (Not a sarcastic response).

  • So Im confused, do I have to pay to use coocon?

No. You do not have to pay for Cocoon. Cocoon has plans that feature high compilation time, more projects per an account, and bigger file sizes for projects but all of that isn't really important. Want to have more projects? Make a new account. Compilation Time? Have a bit of patience. Bigger File sizes? I don't think there's a way to separate files with Construct 2 and end up uploading a file size bigger than 50MB to the Google Play Store but other companies do it, I just really do not know too much about it.

Really the only draw back is their splash screen removal price. $500 per a project to remove their Splash Screen, the Splash Screen itself is not really the problem but what on earth!! $500! It's crazy.

The free account allows for 2 projects and everything else is normal. I really do not understand their logic but a company must make money somehow.

  • cs2curious, you need to go to Cocoon.IO.com. That is the exporter and the guide I sent you is based off of. It is a whole different Exporter, it's a Cloud Based one. You will need to create a account once you go to Cocoon.IO.com, then you'll be able to use their service, you can browse their forums, and the guide I provided you with will be VERY clear. This has no affiliation with Intel XDK.

  • It's a common issue with developers that they either start a too big project they can't finish, or they start too many small ones. I'd suggest you either finish the game that's nearly done, or if you feel like you need to take a break from it then go with the website.

Yup, yup, yup, and yup. I have JUST cut my game in half, no, more than half. It was too damn big, it was gonna take a long time to develop it.

Now I took out everything that I think will allow me to finish it soon and I now can actually feel like there will be an end to this project. Best of all, I will add those thing that I cut out, after the game is released as updates.

I feel like such an idiot for thinking that I have to be hyper focused, dedicated, capable, and take on a project of epic scale. No. Something must be finished, and THEN refined.

  • Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600, quad-core, 1,7 GHz your model

  • try to mak a game with one sprite (player) and spawning objects (paltforms) , and i promess your android device is going to die!

i was trying the game "banana kong" under android very very very fluid.

i was trying my game "1 sprite" 6 moving platforms "spawning every 1.5s, and destroyed outside the screen, its so slow...

try it http://mattepainting.be/test/index.html this is the html5 but runs also under android, bu very very very very slow because construct 2 im sure can't handle well mobile apps.

It runs great on my HTC One M7.
