  • Hey all,

Can anyone help me work out why I'm getting this stuttering movement on my platforms.

I'm using the auto runner example that comes with C2.

I realise the small amount of stuttering may not seem like a big deal when looking at it through a browser. But my project is for mobiles, and the stuttering is 10x worse on there.

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

  • flibble,

Can anyone help me get rid of this slight stuttering on the platforms, please.

    Big thanks   <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • lmchucho, klkitchens, thanks for the replies.

I'm still seeing the jerky movement on both my laptop and my PC. It can be difficult to notice, as it only happens for the first 5-10 seconds. It's most noticable on the platform, and you have to look really closely at the platform. That's why I added white lines, to make it easier to see.

The project I'm working on is meant for mobile, and it is much worse on there (which is why I am concerned)!

I never used to notice it at all on the PC, until recently. So I thought I'd ask the question to see if there's anything I can do to fix it!

If anyone has experienced this themselves, or does know how to fix it, I'd be really grateful for some advice!

    Thanks again

  • Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I've been using the auto runner template to create a game and have noticed that it doesn't seem to run smoothly. It seems to jerk mostly at the start. I have made an example capx to show this. I first noticed it when testing it on a mobile device but it now does it on the pc as well. I have no idea how to fix this.

I'm using an invisible sprite with the image placed on top as advised in the manual to prevent this.

    Please help <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • Thanks for sharing philx!

I've been trying to solve this for a while, but couldn't quite get my head around it. Great work!!

  • Hi ludei,

Any chance of a rough ETA for multiple sound control implementation.

    Thanks

  • Hi ludei,

    CocoonJS ROCKS!!!

My only problem so far, is only being able to control the volume of one sound. My game has the option to adjust the volume of both music and sound effects. Unfortunately this feature does not work on Cocoon at the moment. Any idea when this might be implemented?

    Thanks

  • Thanks zatyka, I'll give that a try.

  • Hi All,

I need to find a way to make an animation's frame rate slow down over a period of time, until eventually stopping on a random frame.

Does anyone know how this might be best achieved? I'd really appreciate any help, or advice you might be able to offer.

A BIG thank you for your help.

  • Bump,

Does anyone know if there's been any further progress on this possible plugin.

    Thanks

  • Hi C2'ers,

I wanted to introduce a screen shake to my game, but have hit a problem. I've tried using the shake feature of the ScrollTo behaviour, but unfortunately this doesn't seem to have worked for me.

I'm guessing that it's because my layout is the same size as my window, so it's a set size and does not scroll (so there's no where to "ScrollTo").

Can anyone offer some advice on another way I could achieve this, given the restrictions mentioned above.

Thanks for any help or advice you can offer.

  • Hi All,

I played around with the settings and managed to answer my own question.

    For anyone else who may be interested;

    1. Yes you do still need to set "Fullscreen in browser" mode to off, when using the browser plugin.

Hope that's of some help to others with the same problem.

    1. Yes you do still need to set C2's "Fullscreen in browser" mode to off.

    2. Yes you do need to export file from very latest version of C2 including beta releases.

Hope that's of some help to others with the same problem.
