Uniform's Forum Posts

  • Hello,

2 days ago i've done my first pixel art stuff ever.

I would like to have some critics and advices that can help me out with this thing. Will post my work here regularly.

    Thanks

  • Well it all depends what are you waiting from a movie. If you want to see a big blockbuster with robots fights and vfx and all. A no brain movie with just visuals then eventually it's not a good movie.

Actually I liked it. Because it was different from what is going on in the movies these times.

The only thing I didn't love acutally was music. Being a composer myself and seeing Hans Zimmer making hype of this movie telling it was his best soundtrack made me laugh. Because it was "bad" sound design and almost no theme. An omnipresent organ and some instruments that weren't intented to be there at certain moments. This broke some atmosphere moments.

Apart from that it was a good dystopian movie. Better than labyrinth. And the narrative style was quite interesting.

Actually after the movie I was depressed because I was born too soon and I will probably never see the alcubierre drive in action. Nor any other extraterrestial form of life.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Dude I don't want to sound pessimistic, but:

-An MMO is not an easy task AT ALL. How much player do you want to sustain?

-Mac support with Construct is not that good. For ios forget about the p2p connection so you will have to have lots of server and this will cost far more than your development cost. Plus it will need LOTS of optimization.

If you know what you are doing then go on. If you never done such a big game before don't even try. It will fail, I tell you from experience. Try something simpler, preferably without multiplayer.

    Just a friendly advice.

By the way what is your specialization? Do you program?

  • Uniform you mean like this if yes then rest is up to you

Yep that's what I actually did. But you may notice that the BOX2D physics bugs. The ball goes through the physic object. It's not normal. I suspect there is no correct behavior for taking in account the rotation for the physics object.

Seems that the physics sometimes miscalculate the collisions while the object is rotating.

But I don't know if I should report this as a bug or not.

  • Uniform you mean like this

    You've made the block rotate.

What I was looking is to avoid strange behavior between rotation and physics behavior. I need to support physics+rotations somehow without strange bugs.

  • Hello Dudes,

I need to achieve this without the nasty behavior between the tile and the borders.Do you know any solution for my problem? I tried torque but it does not rotation arount the center of the green sprite.
