  • Great game man! Simple and fun.

  • I gave up and switched to unity for now. I love construct but no one seems to have any answers regarding IAP.

  • I'm trying to do a simple IAP with CocoonJS and was wondering if anyone here had any success, or maybe ludei can help me out. I would like to set it up so that the user can play the first level, then decide to pay to unlock the full game. I've done a lot of searching but can't find any information.

    • I have a button that initiates "Purchase Product", but nothing happens when I test using the CocoonJS Launcher. Is the "Product ID" the same as "Bundle ID" in the Project Manager? If not where would I find the "Product ID"
    • When I'm checking if a product is purchased, in the Launcher log I get the error: Exception calling 'IDTK_SRV_STORE' extension with 'isFeaturePurchased' functionName: IllegalStateException: Trying to start a non started service at virtual bool com

I'm testing on iPad without a premium account.

    Thanks for any information!

  • StrangeDos - A few people have asked me this. I'll make a tutorial about it when I get some time.

  • Tokinsom - Every system has it's positives and negatives. I've had almost none of those problems. Sure if i change game creators I'll have to start from scratch, but then that's just bad research. I won't go and dissect every point, but I made my game in a very short amount of time and the world is pretty big with lots of graphics. I think it's more of a workflow preference.

  • Stomphoof - I was working on a metroidvania type game: http://www.scirra.com/forum/topic58809.html

I think there are some "Metroidvania" examples around here but they use individual layouts for each room/area which won't get you very far in the long run.

Tokinsom - I'm using individual layouts in mine. What issue does that cause?

  • Hey guys thanks for the comments. I've worked on this a bit more, but I've put it on hold until Spriter releases and works well with C2. The animations have gotten very heavy and I want to keep them looking fluid rather than cut out frames.

StrangeDos - To change layouts, I just have 2 hidden objects. A door object that sends the player to the next layout when they collide (the door has a variable with the name of the next layout). There's also an invisible spawn point on the next layout that the player spawns on

  • I just wanted to say thanks for looking at this problem. Appreciate the help and I'll post on here if I have anymore questions. Thanks!

  • Thanks for this example, it's helped me a ton! I wanted to make a more precise control so I modified your capx. The ship now moves at 360 degrees(rather than 8 direction) and also takes into account distance from the center of the control for speed. I am having a problem though. The green objects in this modified capx are set to solid and I can't seem to find a good way to stop against them. Any ideas?

I tried this post from Yann but couldn't apply it properly.

  • lucid

I made a simple platform test to try out the plugin. Here are some bugs I encountered:

-Pinning the "Mon" object to the "monMask" object doesn't seem to work though setting its position every tick works.

-If you push left or right, the animation changes, but it looks like other objects that aren't used are made visible.

Also, I know the C2 plugin is not stable right now, but is it safe to start building characters with bones in Spriter or will Spriter projects break on future releases? I'd like to create a few characters that will be ready to go when the plugin works.

    Thanks!

  • lucid I couldn't download the zip, but I named objects in the other animation and it worked. Thanks!

  • I purchased Spriter to support this, really excited for a stable version. I tried to test the monster example file, renaming the objects as your instructions said. Everything imported properly, at least there were no error messages. Running the layout I get this error:

    <img src="http://www.louisferina.com/games/SpriterTest/error.jpg" border="0">

Did I miss something? Here is the capx.

  • I'm really looking forward to this. I did a quick test of Spriter and it's a great program. One question though, is it planned to do keyframes per object like other animation programs? It makes it difficult to animate if setting a key on the hand creates a keyframe on every other object.

  • lildragn I was about to email you that I posted up a demo. I think I told you it would be at least a month more before I made it public, but I figured I'd post it early and get some feedback even in its unpolished state.

whatever23 I didn't fix anything...but glad things worked for you all of a sudden.

Rory Thanks for the crit! I'm still working on the attack animations and I'm definitely not happy with the basic combo.

Yup, the character is a 3D model with some photoshop work. It's a big cheat, but it's so much faster to animate that way. For me at least.

BTW, I stopped using Construct for awhile, but I played your "My Irrational Fear of Unicorns" game a few months ago and it motivated me to get back to doing games. Nice work on it!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • You can open it with Construct 1. Sorry, I'm not really supporting this anymore since I've moved onto Construct 2. The concepts are exactly the same though so you should be able to rebuild it in 2.
