  • Rable fml I just followed that tutorial exactly again still nothing. Ive also tried doing that tutorial making a sprite that has to be touched to show the ad... nothing. There is really no reason that it shouldn't be working unless I somehow installed Intel XDK or Construct 2 wrong which also makes zero sense how that could cause my problem.

  • Rable Ya I'm also having A LOT of trouble getting AdMob to work so you aren't alone. I'll be following this thread because I belive we have the same problem.

  • These are the things that I can think of to check/try out:

    1. Try to make a new project in C2 with a single button to show a banner.

And create a new banner (auto size is what I chose) ID in the admob portal.

    2. Check if you are not copying an empty space at the beginning or end of the admob ad id.

    3. Try downloading the latest C2 release.

    4. Your app must be signed by ticking that box in XDK.

    5. place the banner at the top center (because I did not test out other positions )

    6. Check this topic (also first 2 or 3 pages with screenshots)

    1. I have done exactly that with but recieved the same results

    2. I have checked that over and over again, the id is correct

    3. I just downloaded construct and Intel XDK onto another computer a couple hours ago, same results

    4. App is signed

    5. I believe I have tried this but I will try again (I have tried other positions besides bottom center with the same results

    6. I've checked that topic over and over and even replied there to see if I could get help but I believe they have a different issue :/

There has to be SOMETHING that I'm missing right? I swear I have done everything I can find on the Internet to solve this.

  • Rable is it sad to say I hope we have the same problem? That is also how I understand it but just like you I cannot get ads to show, test mode true or false, whatsoever :/ if you fix your problem PLEASE let me know

  • yep I do the exact same. Build in Intel XDK for android crosswalk and download the arm file on my phone but have no success showing test ads

  • so was that what the problem originally was? That you had "phonegap admob plugin selected"?

  • Changing computers made 0 difference. I now have no idea what could possibly be the problem

  • thanks! For now I'm going to try it on another computer (which shouldn't affect it) to see if, for some reason, it makes a difference.

  • would anyone mind creating a test project, exporting the cordova files, then sending them to me to see if the problem is with construct or the intel xdk?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • my bad Datasun you actually create the project somewhere in phonegap FIRST, then export the html5 game to the "www" folder in the phonegap project, then start click the play button in the phonegap program and connect on your phone

  • I also cant get it to work on Android, followed every tutorial out there

  • Get this: http://phonegap.com/blog/2015/03/02/pho ... top-0-1-2/

Then get the phonegap preview app for on your phone

    export for html5 on c2

create a new project in the phonegap desktop app and set its source to the "www" folder where you exported the game

    start the project

type the ip into the phonegap app or into the web browser

    Hello,

AFAIK, the only way to test for ads is on an actual device. I've tried all combos of XDK and other emulators and no luck. To test, I usually drag and drop my APK file to the 'Downloads' folder of my Android device. Then install on my device from that folder.

    HTH.

Ya I mentioned above that I read that on the Intel website so I have been downloading it through the email it sends me onto the Android device I'm using. I'm exporting with Cordova.

I also changed the screen and layout size to 720x1280 and STILL NOTHING! This is so irritating. I might upload my apk on dropbox so someone can test it?

  • Interesting I have it named correctly so I ill try making a test app wth a different resolution

  • I have followed this tutorial with no results :/
