  • Thanks for making Classic open source and I hope someday you'll reconsider open sourcing Construct 2.

An idea would be do a campaign like Livecode. They created a community edition after crowdfunding the project. It exists along side their commercial edition.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • I thought I saw a few on itch.io but I haven't bought any so I can't vouch for any specific vendor or product.

That's nice some users are still active with that.

I never tried it, but I guess having C2, I shouldn't go back to give it a go. right?

If you have C2, you probably won't need Classic but since it's free and open source there's nothing to lose by checking it out.

Keep in mind it hasn't been updated in ages and can only export Windows EXEs. It's originally what piqued my interest in Construct/Scirra. It's buggy and somewhat incomplete compared to C2&C3 but I still love it.

Heck I still use Construct Classic
